millertime24 8 #30 December 25, 2010 QuoteAll this 'PC' crap is just that... CRAP! The way I see it is... if, those of us who celebrate Christmas have to be so tolerant of others as to not even mention Christmas, seems to me, they should do the same and not even mention their holidays. I'm tired of all those folks who want it just their way. With that in mind... A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!!! Chuck +1 coming from a government employee. Coreece 190 #32 December 25, 2010 Quotea lot of the folks that say Happy Holidays ... seem to have no idea of the etymology of the word(s) Holiday. This could also be said about many people who say Merry Christmas... It's interesting that Christmas is celebrated as a symbol of Christ's birth and not his death given the ideology of the Roman sacrificial Mass. Furthermore, there are many people within reformed christian denominations that are strongly opposed to the propitiatory idea of the Mass yet they still say Merry Christmas... Maybe they understand the etymology, maybe they don't, but the fact remains that most people say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays not because of their etymological background but rather because of the warm hearted preception and sensitivity to tradition, family, and unity. Merry Christmas everybody! ....and Happy Holidays!Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...
