happythoughts 0 #1 November 30, 2010 Transportation Security Administration That is any mode of transportation. A few years ago, a train bombing in Madrid killed/wounded 2,000 people. Nothing to stop the TSA from selecting jurisdiction on any mode of transportation. Trains ? How about that cruise next year ? To board the boat, do you want your kids frisked by the helpful TSA agent ?
Unstable 9 #2 November 30, 2010 I take the Amtrack out of Topeka all the time ~ South West Express can get me anywhere from St. Louis, Chicago, and down to Arizona in about the same amount of time as driving. I just walk on the train. easy. If you get your own row, you can even lay across all the seats and fall asleep. It's great.=========Shaun ==========
DiverMike 5 #3 November 30, 2010 Unfortunately, I live in Ohio where we don't believe in passenger trains. We gave $400 million back to the federal gov't that was going to fund high speed passenger rail between Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland. For the same reason I jump off a perfectly good diving board.
popsjumper 2 #4 November 30, 2010 One step farther...your car. Now, when it gets down to THAT level, I'm gonna enlist my next door neighbor wife (TSA "agent") to do the pre-drive pat down for me every morning. Husband: WTF you doin'? Wife: Working Me: She does a great job, too!My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. skyrider 0 #6 December 1, 2010 via Revolutionary Politics. Officials in Tampa, Florida have already begun trial versions of ‘bus stop pat downs’. While this is not yet permanent, officials say that their ability to do this puts the criminals on notice. However it looks like to me it puts citizens on notice that the government can invade their privacy for a simple bus ride: http://www.therightscoop.com/its-here-passengers-patted-down-at-bus-station-in-florida
