From SD PGR Below is a list and link of the scheduled locations in Sioux Falls and Vermillion where the Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) says they will be picketing on Sunday November 21 & Monday the 22nd. This is a new tactic for the WBC. They are now picketing churches and schools. The Patriot Guard Riders will ‘Stand Down’ on any involvement with WBC actions that are non-military or veteran related per our mission statement. The PGR is not a ‘counter-protest’ group. A large number of our membership is made up of veterans and some are on active duty, still other members are now in harm's way, deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq. We have won the right for them or anyone else to protest, as long as they do so within the law. We may strongly disagree with what they are protesting, but they have the legal right to do it. Law enforcement will be on site. If anyone should want to go to the listed locations to observe the WBC picketing, do so as a private, concerned citizen without any PGR identifiable logos or attire. We do not want any negative press. If the media records anyone with PGR logos or attire, we could lose our affiliation with the U.S. Department of Defense as a national organization.
