More interested in a vote than in its word. More interested in special interests than in vested interests. Worth a repeat... Sorry yer gettin screwed Nick, but seriosly, are you surprised? All my brother actually got that they promised him, is it says "Vietnam" on his headstone!

Just like Bear Stearns and Countrywide and AIG. Just like Enron and Global Crossing. And British Petroleum. When the insurance company doesn't pay up, we have the opportunity to do something about it. What is Nick's chance? How's he going to handle it? Sue the VA? You can only sue the government by terms it allows. I'd rather take my chances in finding insurance cmpanies and switching from the assholes than be stuck without a choice. And finally, comparing the government to insurance companies shows how the government is. My wife is hotter than your wife.

Perris, required as a contractor there, I pay in to their healyth insurance....even though I have my own,,,and proved it.....All because they felt pressed by the government to have coverage... So I had double coverage when I got injured while working,.... Perris dumped me....(Instantly) My insurance paid, Insurance without obligation to get paid, is worthless! RonD1120 62 #38 November 15, 2010 Quote Quote Quote ... and hell I even gave em twice as much time because I was having a pretty good time there in 75 with getting to toss my body out of planes for an extra $55 a month and swimming around out in Biscayne Bay and playing in the USAF Navy boats. ??? Which branch did you serve with and what did you do? Just curious, I was USAF, air traffic control and the Club Safety Officer and training instructor for the Commando Sport Parachute Club. I did not get jump pay. Bottom line, thank you for serving. I was an instructor at the Sea Survival School at Homestead AFB, a very strange place in USAF. It was a holdover from WWII when various units had rescue boats to pick up downed airmen. We wore a NAVY Uniform ( Medium blue pullover top with dark blue bell bottoms) with USAF insignia.. which really messed with peoples heads that had never seen that beforeWe taught the college boys how to parachute into the water, not drown, get in their rafts.. and contact rescue and wait to get picked up by UH1-N Fun stuff most of the year... not so fun when the water temp was 60 and warmer than the air temps and you are soaking wet and there is a 20 knot "breeze" I met a retired Chief (E-9) PJ on the poker run for the Hillsborough County Veterans Memorial Park yesterday. He identified himself as Jay and was stationed at Homestead in 1975. He was probably a Staff (E-5) or Tech (E-6) about that time. He was well versed in your AFSC. Name ring any bells?Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. Let your soul absorb them. Amazon 7 #39 November 15, 2010 The name does not ring a bell. Then again... I can barely remember the names of the people I worked with every day. The PJ's and their aircrews were the cool kids and did not hang with us lowly instructor types much. By that time he would have been a PJ with 923xx AFSC. They split off the old career field back in the 1960's into 3 different AFSC's. 921xx was Survival of which we had only a few schools by the 70's in WA ( global), FL( Sea), AK( the Cool School), Panama ( tropic) and the Jungle school at Clark in the PI. There were a handfull of 921xx who were assigned to base level slots depending on the command. The 922xx were the life support AFSC that were stationed at every base in the world that had flight ops. We had a LOT of ex PJ's wandering around all of the schools back then, it seemed like everyone above the rank of TSgt used to be in a rescue unit somewhere. DaVinci 0 #40 November 19, 2010 QuoteI did not have a very great experience with the VA when I got out in 1979 and wanted to use those bennies I had earned betwixt 71-79. I used the education bennies.. but have never touched a dime from them for medical or for that whole house loan guarantee thing. They pissed me off so much with just getting my educationbenefits, I swore I would have to damn near be dead to ever have the VA do SQUAT for me...... We will see how it goes for the rest of my life... I am really hoping I never have to count on them again for anything. I thought you supported Federally provided HC? I have to use the VA (Like Nick)... and my experiences have been less than great. Just last year they started billing my INS for my service connected issues. In restrospect.... the VA has been far far better than ANY of the insurance companies I have dealt with for various health issues in the last 5 years... I think all the insuance execs who have gotten bonuses for denying medical bills to Americans just so they could line their pockets, should be taken out ande beaten to within an inch of their lives and see how good their own fucking insurance pays for the bills.
