Election Night In America

Recommended Posts

Polls closed in some states about an hour ago and we're already seeing a couple of landslides in particular a couple of Kentucky House seats, however that's not unexpected.

CNN has already tossed one Senate seat to Rand Paul. That wasn't a landslide, but still interesting considering his Tea Party roots.

Should be in interesting night.

I will say one thing, CNN certainly has a full freakin' house of analysts sitting on-stage. Holy flippin' crap. That's just WAY too many people.

Time to switch over to FoxNews and see how they're doing.

Edited to add;
Seriously? Chris Wallace is holding an 8.5"x11" white board and making chicken scratches on it? What the hell dude?

Man they like their graphics in large type on FN. ;) Pretty big contrast to the CNN coverage in there's almost nobody on-stage; Wallace and Shepard Smith . . . that's it.

Yet another edit to comment on FN.

Ever notice how Shepard Smith occasionally refers to Democrats as "Dems", but always says "Republicans"?

Never!!! Alcohol, Yes. FoxNews, No.

Aw come on, flip back and forth between everybody. Get a sample of everything.

I am. I'm flipping between the SyFy Channel, the History Channel and the Military Channel. I'm also flipping between an IPA and some kind of Belgian stuff.

Been watching CNN, Fox and msnbc

Wow, what a contrast in style and reasoning

Not hammering any of them but it is a stark comparison

Yep, frequently the case.

CNN is now officially projecting the House going to the Republicans. I think that was inevitable, but premature to call it at this point since some polls in the west haven't closed yet.

I personally don't see the math working out for the Republicans taking the Senate and never did.

Ya

the senate has always been a long shot but there have been some surprises that would indicate there may NOT be any once the polls close out west

Coons wins. The ding-dong witch is dead.

I was watching a video clip of Bill Maher today, when he commented on her "dabbling in state-craft".:D:D:D

Better yet - looks like Reid is substantially behind!
Talk about a good day!

The figures were in the neighboorhood of 20300 to 22800
That is pretty substancial.

Are you certain you weren't hallucinating? Nevada results are still not posted anywhere.

The exit polls have it a dead heat. Don't expect a result till tomorrow morning, if we're lucky. ;)

Now that actual results are coming in, you might want to rethink that.

Okay, Mr. Literal, I guess I should have said "don't expect a final result until tomorrow morning." :P
