rehmwa 2 #51 October 19, 2010 Quote f answering honestly on a form does not get them deported or arrested, then they will be more willing to answer honestly. this is like it's ok for a murderer (pick a crime) to admit his crime on a job application provided he doesn't get arrested and it doesn't come into consideration for hiring - so, allow them to be honest as long as there isn't any consequences for their actions..... So you are really stating that you are ok with a group of people with no character???? Again - if they come forward and admit to the crime, then I have no issue with a policy change that takes the voluntary confession into consideration - the results could be granting a student visa, expedited citizenship, or big fines and deportation depending on the individual. You guys keep saying the only solution is a no risk option, blanketly applied to everyone, despite the fact of the illegality. I think that's weak and leads to further abuse. ... Actrually, its a valid concern of mine. Wait until the fed tries to make it illegal to ask citizenship on a job app.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

rehmwa 2 #58 October 19, 2010 Quote>Dropping to? Is that a PA? Sorry, didn't intend it to be. ah ha! so you admit you were wrong (actually, I thought it was a fair read when you propose a system is desirable that allows them to admit the crime of illegal entry, but not be subject to deportation - honesty without responsibility is not really a win for anyone. - but, given that, what about the rest of the post instead of this little tangent about nothing) so I'm more interested in your take on this QuoteAgain - if they come forward and admit to the crime, then I have no issue with a policy change that takes the voluntary confession into consideration - the results could be granting a student visa, expedited citizenship, or big fines and deportation depending on the individual.
