Even ABC questions if the comment was fair. Quote Chamber of Commerce director of media relations J.P. Fielder said that money goes to the group's general fund and then to the international division, keeping it away from any political activities. "No foreign money is used to fund our political activities," the Chamber said in a statement, citing the rules established by Congress more than a century ago. "We are seeing an attempt to demonize specific groups and distract Americans from a failed economic agenda," said the Chamber's vice president for government affairs Bruce Josten of the charges. "They have not one shred of evidence to back up that baseless lie," said Republican strategist Karl Rove of the claims. What you posted is quite funny. The liars who have been caught are saying that they didn't really do what they did, even though the facts say otherwise. Their own financial statements are what one can use to establish a FACTUAL opinion. The statements show that the USCOC accepted international donations, deposited the funds in their general account, and used funds from the general account to pay for the advertisments in question. Transferring equivalents funds to other accounts is not accepted accounting practice for the type of organization the USCOC is. If a progressive or Democratic organization did such a thing, the howls of "MONEY LAUNDERING" from Faux news, Lush Rimjob, etc, would be deafening. It is amazing what you can get away with when the right wing media machine dislikes the truth. The USCOC is saying "Trust us. We have internal accounting procedures to launder the donations, so what actually happens is not what is shown in our own financial statements." Are RWCs really that gullible? Answer = YES!!!! billvon 3,120 #31 October 27, 2010 So, to sum up - When someone creates a political ad in which all the statements are literally correct, but gives sensitive people a misleading impression, it's wrong, evil and hurts America. When someone protests publicly, it's OK to smash her in the head.
