You won't have to "tolerate" anyone's "crap."

That doesn't mean to just shutup...

No. It means that she is as free to express her opinion in this forum and is just as valid in doing so as anyone else.

If you are tired of having to "tolerate" it, there's an obvious solution available to you; don't participate in the forum. Just don't read it and you won't have to "tolerate" it.

OK ok...sorry.. since a depiction of Jesus getting fellated upsets you so... perhaps then you should stick to viewing just run of the mill catholic clergy being fellated, or maybe a bishop or cardinal thrown in for variety.

You indeed are a special case...

When I first heard that, I never really did think it was meant as a positive thing....that is you being a special case.

What I think is particularly despicable is the Chirstians appear to have the news as spooked over this as it would over a piece showing Muhammad.

Show the flippin' piece of art you douchbags. How the are we supposed to know whether it's "offensive" or not if we can't see it?

What gives you the idea that they are "spooked"?

The issue I have is who is the responsible party at the place that the vandalism took place. "displays at a city-owned museum"

Why is the city allowing religious or anti religious art there at all?

Because the report (if you would have read and listened to it), specifically says they're not showing it so as to not upset more people.

Because it's art. If you've never been in a museum, and it appears as if you haven't been, what they do is have this building with art in it. LOTS of cities have them. They have pictures of all sorts of things. Many historic piece of art have religious themes. Oh I know, where is that pesky division between church and state?

IT'S A FREEKIN' ART MUSEUM! THAT'S WHAT THEY DO!

This last statement is misplaced in this conversation. You saying that at this time and in this way makes it seem like you have some underlying personal issues for which you need to find an outlet for your anger.[:/]

No, they display offensive art when they are in favor of offending those intended to be offended. There is a big difference.
People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

The Christian with the crowbar.

Ah, I see that you consider the "The Christian with a crowbar" to be the owner/operator of the museum.

If that is the case, then there should be no issue then. Did you miss the clarification I left in quotes regarding the city owning the museum, or were you just being dinenjenuous with your comprehension?

How interesting it is regarding the timing and tolerance of the agreement/disagreement with that pesky little issue isn't it?

Trying to belittle someone doesn't really suit you any more. It might have in the past, maybe. Perhaps, for the last few years your holier than thou attitude was amusuing to yourself, but as time goes on, you are showing yourself to be even more petty with your apparent insatiable need to talk down to people. Shame really. All you are doing is losing respect for yor self.[:/]

It seems you might have a wee bit too much "faith"in organized religion...and those who profit greatly from it. These "holy men" have been abusing their religion for a very long time... butts thats ok... they can do as they wish right.. and all they need do is to ask for forgiveness. I think you will find its a bit more than your "few" and I just point it out... not judging them. I prefer to leave the judging to GOD... and I don't think its going to go so well for a whole lot of those who usurp gods authority.

whatever...they can display what they want... I just find it interesting how the bigots lash out at the group rather than the perp...biased bigotry, indeed.

overall hypocritical at best.

Hmmm I see the persecution complex is alive and well.

The perp is getting prosecuted, right? Not much worthy of discussion there.

I don't think the national endowment for the arts would be showing off a pic of Obama in a jar of urine, or Michael Moore with elephant poop on it. I wouldn't want taxpayer money funding that either.

Perhaps he could redo the picture to promote the same picture featuring Mohammad, just for equal time and all.

Would that be OK to display at a city owned Museum?

more like...pediatricks:ph34r:

Basically bring up anything that some "christian" finds to their dislike... and they get all butthurt in a heartbeat.. and cry about how they are being persecuted.
