LOL, WENDY you aren't OLD enough to recall how "hippies" spelled I am old enough... and since most of them seemed to come from privileged families they were usually well educated. Many of them gave up on the counter culture movement long ago, became main stream and have gone on to become quite successful members of this society both socially and financially. Far smarter is to just let it take it's natural course. Besides which, a "strong" Tea Party works in favor of the Democrats, since they divide the Republican party far more. The GOP is successfully using the internet to create stories and damning 'evidence' out of thin air. So long as the Democrats act like loner idiots, they'll continue to be at a disadvantage. The Tea Party is disruptive in primaries, but when it comes to November, they're going to bring out the Anti Obama vote. Turnout will be the key to whether or not the GOP takes one or both chambers of Congress, and dissatisfied Democrats are likely to sit home.

But let's compare that with you, on the other hand - the only ideas you seem to be able to transmit is drive-by insults. And you usually do so with your own grammatical errors. Quite ironic. Given the choice, I'll take well-expressed, thoughtful ideas with a few spelling errors.
