wmw999 2,588 #1 September 20, 2010 what's your lean / your first choice among those given No, you don't get to choose the smart person who's like you -- we're all smart enough to choose them Yet another highly scientific poll for your edutainment. I'm not asking for your political party affiliation, just which direction you think you lean. This isn't directed only at US-ians, but the last item is a pretty US-centric one I believe. wolfriverjoe 1,523 #7 September 20, 2010 I'm starting to doubt that there are any real liberal or conservatives. Sure, they may disagree on guns or abortion or health care, but they are all more interested in being in power and telling other people what to do. They seem more interested in arguing and fighting each other and telling the public that they are right than actually governing. All of them say whatever the party line is (along with "I will represent you and not just follow the party line") in order to get elected, and then screw over the little guy to appease the lobbyists with the most money for their campaign funds. There are a few that don't fit that mold (Lieberman, Feingold and McCain come to mind), but only a few."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." CanuckInUSA 0 #8 September 21, 2010 My favorite candidate lately has been "None of the Above". This choice wasn't on your list, so I chose the one closest to it which was "I'm not even registered to vote". Also since I was never allowed to vote when I was in the US, I guess it all worked out anyway. wmw999 2,588 #9 September 21, 2010 Quote My favorite candidate lately has been "None of the Above". I'll admit he's enticing, but since one of the listed candidates will end up in office, I try to do my part to make sure it's the one I think will do the best job. I haven't gotten to the point yet of running myself (and boy howdys is that low on the likely tree ), but sometimes the choice does seem to be kind of dim. It takes a politician to run for most of those offices, and politicians are what people don't like to vote for Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it.
