When RWCs whine about Democratic politicians, one can be sure that the Democratic Politicians are intelligent, wel spoken, and really smart. These characteristics are the opposite of the Republican politicians. Ignorant idiots like John McCain and Michelle Bachman are perceived to be worth a shit by the moroins who are RWCs. Quite the opposite is true. RWCs are too stupid to really understand the issues. They parrot talking points with no comprehension, then wonder why us smart folks laugh at them and call them names. You scumbags are dragging the country down. You copntribute NOTHING positive to the political discourse.

I'm running over in my mind my entire voting record and I'm pretty sure I've never voted for an actor for any political position. Republicans LOVE to run them here though. LOVE 'EM. Reagan, Sonny Bono, Schwarzenegger . . . As for Allen Grayson, it's tough to say if I would have voted for him or not. He's got a big mouth and isn't afraid to use it. He says things that are true and I like people that speak truth to power, but I usually like them a lot better as pundits than as the guys actually in power that need to "play well with others." Grayson's problem is he just irritates people, even people on his own side. There's a world of difference between being a worthy adversary and just an irritating prick. Grayson is, as I said, irritating. So no, I don't think I would have voted for him unless the alternative was an equally irritating individual from the other side. Generally speaking, I tend to want to vote for the "adult in the room."quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

It was overly theatrical. Less so than a lot of other things being said by the other side at the time. It was also was closer to the truth than the "death panel" claims. It wasn't the actual truth. You are correct. The GOP didn't actually have a plan where they wanted people to "die quickly." In fact, after a year of debate, they really didn't have a plan at all other than to say no -- which is what they're still trying to do ever after it has been passed. So, while it wasn't strictly the truth, it was essentially the truth because a person without health insurance may in fact "die quickly." In fact, some people with great health insurance die quickly because they don't want to make a trip to the emergency room over something they think is a small issue that turns out to be a large issue. I will admit I've actually done that to myself. Several years ago I had health insurance but didn't want to take the hit for a simple office visit so I let a cough go on for a couple of days. Turned into pneumonia and over night went from a cough to what could have become in just another few hours fatal. Jim Henson, who I'm damn near certain had great health insurance, waited too long. Yes, of course I went to the emergency room. Yes, anybody can go to the emergency room and receive "free" treatment. But our society would be MUCH better off if there was NO barrier to initial treatments that would prevent them from going there in the first place. BTW, if you think Grayson is only a loudmouth and bashes Republicans . . . you're not paying attention.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
