Guest #1 September 16, 2010 BBC Story from 20 Aug France is taking a lot of heat for this, but I for one think it's a good thing. Many people in the West have no idea how awful the Roma can be, or the filth and squalor they choose to live in. I believe France is dealing with it as humanely as possible. mh ."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
Zep 0 #2 September 16, 2010 Funny thing is that Italy did more or less the same thing but did'nt recieve the same press, but then the Italians arn't generally known for their libralism. France is right in it's VOLANTRY explusion of the Roma a small percentage of them in a city or town can turn it into a living hell for decent people. France is right in it's VOLUNTARY explusion of the Roma a small percentage of them in a city or town can turn it into a living hell for decent people. Other countries in Western Europe have done the same thing. I don't understand why the French are getting all this heat lately. Perhaps France's reputation of liberalism and of being a tolerant haven for migrants is now working against it. mh ps - I corrected your spelling - hope you don't mind."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat." Not all ethnic cleansing is done through genocide, or even murder. There are lots of methods: murder, intimidation, assault, property and business seizure laws, forced wearing of marker symbols, deportation, etc. In this case it's deportation. I see the other errors - thx for pointing them out - hey - I just skim a lot of this stuff and seldom proofread - it's just too hard on the eyes. And I never spellcheck - I proof as I go. I sometimes miss things in other people's posts, but I seldom overlook my own. However, I consider myself duly chastised in this case. mh ."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
