lawrocket 3 #1 September 1, 2010 This guy is different, though. He took hostages at the Discovery channel. Here is his manifesto: http://tmz.vo.llnwd.net/o28/newsdesk/tmz_documents/0901_demands.pdf He wasn't driven on by Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck. Indeed, he was a nutter who was inspired by Daniel Quinn's novel "Ishmael" and Al Gore's film, "An Inconvenient Truth." Here's my thing - I'm not going to blame the environmental movement or any persons involved with it for the outlier nut who happened to come upon environmentalism as the best ideology to support his misanthrope and nutty thoughts. However, I would hope that those who ascribe the violence performed by those with right-leaning persons either agree that Al Gore is responsible for this, or retract their prior statements. p.s. when a guy is wearing a bomb, I don't think that the guns are a big thing, either. TriGirl 349 #2 September 1, 2010 It's good that all the innocents got out of there unharmed. It's also a terrible shame that they had to go through that. That being said, it's too bad this guy didn't survive. I'd like to hear what he would have come up with next! Oh, and I didn't hear what was in the package he was carrying. What did he think he was going to do if his "demands" weren't met? It seems that he didn't have enough money to provide shelter for himself, but he had enough to throw around bills two years ago at the same location; enough to pay his shelter buddies $100/day to demonstrate at Discovery. He also had enough motivation to maintain a web page about his viewpoint. Meso 38 #7 September 2, 2010 I quite like this chap... Or at least his view points on stopping the populating of the vile parasitic human species. Maybe I'm just united in misanthrope. To add: He is an idiot for being inspired by Al Gore's Inconvenient Truth though. I support his ideals but mostly on a non-global warming/conservation level. I guess the differenc is that there is a frenzy attitude around RW nuts. Abortion doctor killers really have the nod from many Christians. When LW nutters go off, they often destroy property, as with PETA, RW nutters tend to kill people and are more likley to have the backing, even if secretive, of RW/fundies. Inc ase you haven't noticed, conservatism has 1 and only 1 template, liberalism is more diverse.

Eh? He's trying the old, "they do it, we do it; it's all the same." This is how RWers blame the left for fiscal messes too. Generally the extremists come from the right, since that is the extreme and volatile position.
lawrocket 3 #13 September 2, 2010 [Reply]I guess the differenc is that there is a frenzy attitude around RW nuts. one that you see. I myself see no difference between a right wing nut and a left wing nut. They are both nuts. [Reply]When LW nutters go off, they often destroy property, as with PETA Often. They do like killing people, too. After all, people are the cause of all the troubles in the world, and worth less than, say, a grain of salt. [Reply]RW nutters tend to kill people and are more likley to have the backing, even if secretive, of RW/fundies I disagree. nuts are nuts, dude. Right or left, a nut is a nut. And a lefty nut is just as likely to kill as a righty. [Reply]Inc ase you haven't noticed, conservatism has 1 and only 1 template, liberalism is more diverse. Correct. For exanple, only conservatives stereotype, right? [Laugh] It's why you will call me a Republican - because my viewpoints are not fully in agreement with yours. There's plenty of room for diversity of views on the left, so long as those views are consistent with left-wing ideology. My wife is hotter than your wife.
