The message is not about the pentatonic scale. It is about God's grace, human change and racial unification.
If its about racial unification then using only the black keys is a prety strange way to deliver the message. That was the point of my OP. Hence the question about why you thought my thinking was linear.
The speaker actually said we are all united in Christ. That should have been a clue.
My grandparents, parents and grad school professors emphasized a concept known as "reading between the lines" to look for a deeper meaning. It is probably just an American thing.
