Hateful Americans at Ground Zero

Recommended Posts

This is very sad in so many ways.

A man walks through the crowd at the Ground Zero protest and is mistaken as a Muslim. The crowd turns on him and confronts him. The man in the blue hard hat calls him a coward and tries to fight him. The tall man who I think was one of the organizers tried to get between the two men. Later I caught up with the man who's name is Kenny. He is a Union carpenter who works at Ground Zero. We discussed what a scary moment that was for him. I told him that I hoped it did not ruin his day.

He wasn't a Muslim but he was black, I guess that almost as good to a bunch of right wing facists. If the right wing band wagon keeps rolling with inciting religious hatred then this sort of thing is only the begining on the streets of America.

So fast to jump in here but you seemed to have missed responding to this thread

I'm sorry I didn't realise I was under obligation to respond to every posted thread. I didn't see the thread that you refere to, however, I have now had a look.
I have absolutly no idea what the hell they're talking about. Someone said someone else called him a nigger and spat on him, and some woman is asking some black guy I've never seen or heard of before standing behind a sign about a tea party what he thinks about it??? Quite honestly I really dont give a fuck. If black people in America want to aruge about who did or did not get spat on by racists then thats up to them. NFI mate.

I can smell the hate coming from you.

Don't you think that if these right wingers just need to be understood?

Don't you think some compassion and tolerance of them is worthwhile? After all, if you hate them they will just become worse. Compassion and understanding and tolerance and hugs and peace and love will rule the day. Dig it?

It is, of course, always stunning to me how much the right wing hates, but says "it's cool to hate." Even more stuning is how much the left decreis hatred, and will fuck up any hater they see, because they pick and choose which hatred is okay and which hatred is not.

You hate these guys, don't you? Do you despise your hatred as much as you despise theirs? Intellectual honesty requires it.

No what you can smell is not hate but pity. I don't hate people who are stupid, I pity them.

I remember after 9-11 Faux news said something about Muslims as being the new "blacks".
Man did I have my hopes up!
As a non practicing Muslim I thought about picking it backup.
I had this immage in my mind of all the WASPY kids in the middle class homes calling each other brother, growing chest hair, developing a taste for lamb and my chicks thinking i was bad ass!
It never went that way [:/]

Life through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds is necessary to ensure happiness and to keep chaos at bay.

The only thing that falls from the sky is birdshit and fools!

Hateful Americans?

Maybe a small handfull fucked up...as even pointed out, one of the organisers stepped up and stopped the trouble makers!

They are Americans that love their country, and do not want to se a shrine to the enemy built close to the site of an attack!

That is not Hateful, that is love of country!

. . . and protests are sprinkled with "planted protesters" that are there for the sole purpose of inciting malcontent and trying to give the protest a bad name.

>Maybe a small handfull fucked up...

Hey, you may be on to something here! Maybe a small handful of idiots does not condemn an entire nation (or an entire religion.) Any time someone can overcome their prejudices and judge people on the content of their character, instead of their skin color, religion, sex or politics, it's a good thing.

>and do not want to se a shrine to the enemy built close to the site of an
>attack!

Never mind.

Whatever:S

Maybe I missed something but I've seen worse shit go down between soccer moms at grade school sporting events. People may just be a bit too sensitive when it comes to stupid shit like this.

There is plenty of bad shit happening in the world today, but I don't think this makes the list.

so muslims can't be black? I spend much time with my black brothers...many are muslim, but they are quickly converting to christianity...

I lived next to a family of Serbian muslims, they looked and talked just like European Catholics...they reminded me of my family growing up in the hood. The mother came to us and said I've had it...my husband lost everything and my religious leaders just bitch and complain about everything while we should be praising God...

They now live in Germany...My faith in this country is gone...All has been in vain...everything!
