Skyrad 0 #1 July 21, 2010 So after hearing about the Arab guy who was convicted of rape (and imprisoned) for telling a Jewish woman that he was Jewish to improve his chances I wondered how many men have lied to a woman to gain sexual favours? Come on guys Fess up, (and theres no statuate of limitations on this one!)When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Andy9o8 2 #3 July 21, 2010 I couldn't take it any longer Lord I was crazed And when the feeling came upon me Like a tidal wave I started swearing to my god and on my mother's grave That I would love you to the end of time I swore that I would love you to the end of time! So now I'm praying for the end of time To hurry up and arrive Cause if I gotta spend another minute with you I don't think that I can really survive I'll never break my promise or forget my vow But God only knows what I can do right now I'm praying for the end of time It's all that I can do Praying for the end of time, so I can end my time with you!!! Shotgun 1 #4 July 21, 2010 This makes me wonder what kind of lies, as I would find some to be worse than others. Lies about feelings? Intentions? Occupation? Hobbies? Marital status? Diseases?
masterrig 1 #5 July 21, 2010 I don't see any of those you mentioned as being worse than any other. They are all lies and lies don't make a good foundation for anything, let alone a relationship. Chuck
Shotgun 1 #6 July 21, 2010 I think that I find lying about diseases (STD's) to be somewhat worse than the others, since that might be putting my life in danger. (OK, well, lying about marital status might be putting my life in danger too.) Lying about feelings or intent is also on a pretty personal level and might be somewhat more hurtful than other lies. A person's occupation or hobby likely has nothing to do with whether I'd have sex with him. So if I found out someone had lied about that in order to get me into bed, 1) I'd wonder what the hell I did to make him think I was so shallow, and 2) I'd still think he's a lying asshole who isn't worth my time. masterrig 1 #8 July 21, 2010 On seconf thought, lying about an STD is lower than low. As we know, that could cost a life. The others would probably, just cost some tears or a good ass-whoopin'. Chuck

I get the "shallow" w/r/t occupation or hobby if it means financial status, but what if it means something else? I personally would be pissed if I was under the impression a guy was a veterinarian and later discovered he slaughtered cows professionally. Having said that, deception is most easily received by those who want to believe what they hear. Speaking personally again, I require a lot of backup--especially with respect to the affairs of my pink lady. True, there are other reasons for lying about occupation beyond financial status and prestige. I guess I was just thinking that's probably the most common reason.
