Andy9o8 2 #5 July 19, 2010 QuoteHillary Clinton's defeat at the hands of Barack Obama must be, to her, bitter gall and wormwood. Virtually every major candidate for presidential nomination or election, who was defeated by someone who s/he felt had paid less dues or was less qualified, found the experience to be bitter gall and wormwood. Which is to say: virtually every losing candidate since 1796.

But we aren't so naive as to believe she would be above a little 'fuck you' as she leaves her post are we? Her abandoning ship and running against the party incumbent would already be a fuck you move. Adding to it with an unprofessional departure would not be advisable, esp for a candidate that is only marginally more experienced than Obama (4 more years in Senate). She already has the majority of the GOP wishing actual harm, and can't afford to anger more of the Democratic voter base. I said before that if the GOP trots out the same old bodies (Romney, for example) in the next election, Obama should win. Clinton represents the same sort of stale meat from the Dems...that's why Obama got the nomination. She wouldn't win the nomination over Obama, but she would damage the ticket. Perhaps she should run as an indep with Joe Lieberman as her Veep? They could be the Rat Party.
