Now this guy is going to be fun

This guy could give Sarah Palin a run for her money:

====================
Alvin Greene: America's most unlikely politician

The journey to the home of one of the most enigmatic figures to emerge into the American political scene involves a drive deep into rural South Carolina. The road, bullet straight and lined with tall firs and pines, continues for miles with only an occasional Jehovah's Witnesses church to break the monotony.

. . .

"I was hoping that it would be big so I would be able to get my message out to as many folks as possible: getting South Carolina and America back to work, bringing South Carolina and America back. And it's not just America. We have got to get the world back to work and bring the world back. So it's a message that has to reach folks and it's something that I'm pursuing and it's going good."

At one point, he lurches off on his big idea for how to create jobs in South Carolina.

"Another thing we can do for jobs is make toys of me, especially for the holidays. Little dolls. Me. Like maybe little action dolls. Me in an army uniform, air force uniform, and me in my suit. They can make toys of me and my vehicle, especially for the holidays and Christmas for the kids. That's something that would create jobs. So you see I think out of the box like that. It's not something a typical person would bring up. That's something that could happen, that makes sense. It's not a joke."

Being a typical Democrat makes him a lot of fun

hey man, this is our guy to pick on, he is nothing like Sarah, and this story is BS

when they first interviewed him he couldn't form a credible sentence, there are no long tree lined roads to his house, some liberal writer trying to create a Gone With the Wind image, his house is near the dang highway

pompous Carol Fowler, soon to be former head of the SC Demo Party, ignored the guy, guess he showed her, actually sorry to see her go

before this is over our great Congressman Jim Clyburn will make sure that his rural SC brother is run in the ground, the state police are investigating him and since Jim wants it to happen they will find something, of course Jim wouldn't want anyone investigating his daughter who he got appointed to a nice federal executive job with the FCC

Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.

More of a pun than you intended. SC has a history of one party paying for someone to run in the other party. To the point of federal investigations and prosecutions...
Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Look, every state has its quaint traditions. West Virginia, for example, has buggery; South Carolina has this. It's a local thing.

Not that I haven't been enjoying this situation thoroughly, but Mr. Greene is making a pretty strong case for closed primaries. Open primaries are designed to keep candidates gravitating towards the middle if I understand the concept correctly, but there's really no safeguard from shenanigans like what's going on in SC right now.

When I'm more qualified for the senate than a given candidate, things are not in good shape.
Peace, love and hoppiness

Maybe it was tongue in cheek? But if not, then Bolas must find it galling that Greene is a college graduate. :D
