Lucky... 0 #30 July 2, 2010 Quote Quote God forbid an animal actually follow it's natural instincts. Quote Unless the animal is a human, right? Human animals, as per our lord and savior and jebus christ , are not hunters, that's a poor adaptation. [Reply]It's a shame what happened, but what do you expect when people move into areas that were originally inhabited by wild animals Quote Versus civilized animas like people? We lived there, too. Good one; oxymoron of teh day - civilized humans. [Reply]Fuck fox hunting, I agree. [Reply]I can think of a far more invasive life form that could be taken down a few billion. Quote Okay. With whom do we start? Africans? Then Asians? Why be racist, let's just control population across theboard? Quote I'd personally start with the ones we know won't put up much of a fight. Oh, so survival of teh strongest? Isn't that elitist? How about starting with thepoorest, or is that what you just said? [Reply]Animals > People. Quote People ARE animals. Insects are animals. People are the animal that is most caustic, kills for sport, etc.
Lucky... 0 #31 July 2, 2010 Quote Well define our natural instincts... We used to hunt only for food and clothing, although I could stand corrected. Originally we didn't hunt for animal food at all. We're heterotrophic, so we hunt vegetation or did originally, then we adapted to eat animals and that has really been our downfall. Quote The 'humans are animals' thing is correct. But we're also far more intelligent than the other animals, we have the ability to differentiate between instinctual behaviour necessary for survival and acts which are blantently not. I disagree. Dolphins are probably more intelligent. Quote We lived there sporadically, but as the human population has gone out of control and expanded, we're just sort of pushed everything else away and claimed everything as our own. Are you talking about the colonists who moved to the land we call the USA? Quote If there were a more superior being that saw the way we lived they'd have done some serious population control. I think my main point is that people claim to be such superior beings over other animals, and yet they haven't evolved enough to see that stuff is mostly their own fault. I can completely understand hunting for food, but sport hunting etc makes me want to stomp on babies. Don't worry, mother nature adjusts. She used to use disease, but we've actually overridden a lot of that, so now she is left to use war as an adjuster. Of course Jubus ficking christ, our imaginary lord and saviour will intervein. No, we start with the people who oppose me on any matter- Duuuh. My initial response to this post was actually a bit off topic in that it made me think of the incidents where an animal kills a human and then the humans all freak out and go kill the animals that can do that. Quote As stated before, if we weren't on the top of the food chain and evolutionary scale and something were above us, we'd have been killed centuries ago. I'm not sure we're relaly in the food chain, since we eat outside our intended food. It's complicated, but if a dog ate lettuce, is he really particiapting in the food chain? Quote Granted I am merely a misanthropist who thinks the universe would have been better off without humans. But there's also facts which show we're more like a virus than anything else. Everything adjusts, we're just too stubborn to cooperate.
