wmw999 2,589 #1 June 17, 2010 There was a game my brothers and I played at night when were were kids, called "you woke me up." The rules were simple: one of us would start to snore loudly and obviously and the other two had to guess what sound would wake that one up. So we had to make whatever kid-noises we could think of until we hit on the right one. Obviously the snorer enjoyed all this attention and focus on their wishes, so the list of sounds lasted until they got bored, because we were (generally) lousy mind-readers. It was endlessly entertaining after we went to bed. We were 6, 7, and 8. Now y'all can try to guess why I'm telling you this story, and I can enjoy telling you whether you got it right, or you have to try again Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

Niki1 2 #3 June 17, 2010 This is the Speakers Corner. You don't need a reason to say some else is wrong. Common Sense has died. In leiu of a memorial servise, a monent of silense would be appreciated but not expected. Common Sense was preceded in death by his wife, Discretion; one daughter, Responsibility; and one son, Reason. He is survived by two step-brothers, Half-Wit and Dim-Wit.Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossilbe before they were done. jtnesbitt 0 #4 June 17, 2010 My guess, is that you are comparing posters in the SC to the person "sleeping." Basically the game keeps going until the sleeper gets the sound they like best, whereas here, the conversation keeps going until the OP gets the answer they like/want. That is just and guess however, and hey, its the SC, so can i really be wrong?
