Comparing Gore to Cheney says a lot more about Gore than Cheney...

That's a nugget

I think Al Gore has done a lot of good by getting people thinking about conservation and the reason why. But I like GWB's house better than his :)

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

So now you're a mind reader too. Impressive.

No. Not mind reading. Simply logical inference that he didn't do it UNTIL he realized people were watching and called him out on it.

...

John - you know this.

No, I don't know what he had done prior to the RW bloggoshpere publishing half truths about him.

I do know that you haven't a clue what his intentions are with respect to his new home, although you claim that you do. The "mind reader" comment applies to you too.

Defending his half lies till the bitter end. :D You lose.

That's ok - according to the Gore rules, he has 20 years to put up some solar panels and he's all good.

And a pail under a downspout!

Well, let's see; the home already exists.

I suppose the previous owners could have just left the home empty.

OTOH, if its a choice between someone who makes no effort and someone who will retrofit it to make it sustainable, I guess you would choose the one that makes no effort.

That's Montecito. I want to know where the Monticello is that's in the subject line. That is the big mystery of this thread.

Maybe he got Al Gore confused with Thomas Jefferson. There are some similarities, ya know.... "All men are created equal" (except for these slaves that I own). :P

Just kidding... I have great respect for Jefferson (and some for Mr. Gore too), but no one is perfect.
