turtlespeed 226 #1 May 19, 2010 Here is a test that can show where you stand . . . On this one:http://www.okcupid.com/politics My answers led to: Social Conservative (31% permissive) and an... Economic Conservative (60% permissive) You are best described as a: Republican You exhibit a very well-developed sense of Right and Wrong and believe in economic fairness.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
CanuckInUSA 0 #2 May 19, 2010 Haha ... I answered honestly and the results were kind of what I expected, except it has labeled me as: Social Liberal (63% permissive) I hate being called a Liberal (even if I have some Liberal beliefs) ... fuck ... I am not a Liberal ... but ... I was also labeled as: Economic Conservative (70% permissive) pretty much what I expected on the economic side of things and ... I am best described as a: Libertarian another totally expected result. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
tr027 0 #3 May 19, 2010 what if you're anti-statist, anti-fascist? I got Social Liberal 70% permissive and Economic Moderate 56% permissive."The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. BikerBabe 0 #4 May 19, 2010 except the test gives 4 possible *general* results and your poll only gives two. or put in a way math geeks like me understand: your poll is one-dimensional while the test gives two-dimensional results. How is someone like Canuck supposed to honestly answer your poll, seeing as he is "both"? (I'd be willing to bet he chose "right of center", even though he could have logically chosen either, because he "hates being called liberal") So basically what you are going to get is how people see themselves, rather than what the test results showed. Maybe that's what you wanted, but if so, why post the link to the test?Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup! Shotgun 1 #5 May 19, 2010 Some interesting questions in there. My results were: QuoteSocial Liberal (81% permissive) and an... Economic Liberal (36% permissive) You are best described as a: Strong Democrat You exhibit a very well-developed sense of Right and Wrong and believe in economic fairness. True that I lean more toward Democrat than Republican, but I don't think I'm a _Strong_ Democrat. There were some questions on there that I feel neutral about, but it only lets you agree or disagree, so that might make the results a little less accurate. CanuckInUSA 0 #8 May 19, 2010 Quote How is someone like Canuck supposed to honestly answer your poll, seeing as he is "both"? (I'd be willing to bet he chose "right of center", even though he could have logically chosen either, because he "hates being called liberal") Even though we have only met maybe a dozen times in real life, BikerBabe appears to know me well. Guilty as charged, I did vote "Right of Center" in this DZ.COM poll. I do view myself as a bit right of center ... and often agree with the right leaning political parties more than the left. But I draw the line when the right brings their religious beliefs into politics. As an example I am pro-choice but I am also pro-capital punishment when it comes to some crimes. Haha ... whatever normal is, I assure you I am not it. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
CanuckInUSA 0 #9 May 19, 2010 Quote I personally enjoyed the Death Match question. laughed out loud, I did. If two people are consenting regarding the result, why not. It is their lives and not all that different when we jump out of airplanes, when I drive my car around a race track on track days or when you or your hubby ride your motorcycles around the track. We know "shit could happen" and that it could be the end of us at a moment's notice. But we do it because it is fun and it brings us pleasure. Shotgun 1 #10 May 19, 2010 Quote I personally enjoyed the Death Match question. laughed out loud, I did. Yeah, that one was funny. Why don't they ever ask that question in the debates? muff528 3 #25 May 20, 2010 OK, here is a quick graphic representation of the political "spectrum" as I perceive it (somewhat). Does the graph make sense to anyone else or is it complete nonsense to you? I've tried to give examples of where various systems might lie on the graph. Doe these assignments seem reasonable?
