Zep 0 #1 May 10, 2010 That is one lucky person. A case of wrong place at the wrong time. but that aside, the ballistic side of this intrigues me, I would guess it's a lost .22 nearly at the end of it's range, went in though the eye and traveled round the inside of the cranium stopping short of the occipital lobe. As a rifle owner the aspects of a lost bullet really do bother me. I would and do lose a shot if I can't be 100% sure where the round is going to end up. I'm sure some one with a ballistic back ground can give an opinion as to how the round entered the eye and ended up where it did click. This obviously was a low-velocity projectile by the time it hit him. Maybe fired from some great distance, or ricocheting off of something else first, or fired from an air gun. He's both very unlucky, and very lucky.
