There are parts of West Texas where the speed limit is 80, but it's a long straight road with little traffic, and you can see for miles. But yeah, around Houston, the speed limit is 65 or 70. (I think it's 65???)

Disagree 99%,,,As noted in an earlier post there are bad apples in every profession,,,expect the same respect that you give in return,,,,99% of the cops I've dealt with are pretty decent. Only 1 or 2 that I've encountered have been assholes,,generally they're good people making the best out of shitty situations scraping bodies out of cars, dealing with scumbags on a daily basis, they risk their lives everyday so ordinary people can go about their business relatively safely, they see the worst evil that humans can inflict on other humans, most everyday they see pain and suffering and try to help as best as they can,,,,,they arrest the criminals only to have a bleeding heart judge give them a slap on the wrist or dismiss the case entirely. I have a lot of respect for the men and women in law enforcement,,,I couldn't do it.
