Anyone with the first name of Fabrice should be punished;)

I ask this question honestly...what damage would $1 billion do to GS?

There is going to be more on this
Something doesnt pass the sniff test
Not saying GS aint got some dirt in this but
There is more to come I think

it will be because we destroyed ourselves."

Yeah, I wonder how long Warren Buffett will keep his $5B investment with them now...
So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh
Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright
'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life
Make light!

The first of several such prosecutions, I hope. Sadly, there won't be enough jail time for everyone that was involved with said profiteering at the expense of the entire country.

That's probably what John Paulson thought - what's a little skimming off the top?

This is starting to have a bad smell to it

No wonder is did not pass the sniff test

Yes, Republican claims that G-S bought influence with campaign contributions to Obama look silly now, don't they?

>WILL OBAMA RETURN $994,795 IN GOLDMAN SACHS CAMPAIGN
>CONTRIBUTIONS?

So the latest right wing claim is that Obama accepted campaign donations from Goldman-Sachs and in return . . . prosecuted them?

Do you see any logical inconsistency at all there?

There have been questions as to why there was no left wing blubbering when GS got the big bonuses (I have never thought were a problem) and I know there were some
this may have been an answer to the question

But again
My point is and has been something does not smell right about this whole issue

As to your point?
See above

So answer: no, you don't. Cool; you have once again avoided thinking about the issue and simply blamed Obama. Easy, quick, politically correct - and no strenuous thought required.

Projecting again?

I have not blamed anybody!
There are some curious issues with this however and I for one an willing to wait and see where it leads
It may be just as advertised

Now breath and the redness in your face will go away shortly

Goldman isn’t the only bank in investigators' crosshairs. Last week Washington Mutual, the biggest U.S. bank ever to fail, was the subject of a Senate hearing on deceptive practices uncovered by an investigation into the bank's mortgage lending operations. The investigative panel of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee found that WaMu rewarded loan officers for the volume and speed of the subprime mortgage loans generated and paid bonuses to loan officers who overcharged borrowers or levied stiff penalties for prepayment.

Investigators are also sifting through the books of Lehman Bros., which a court-appointed auditor recently found had used an accounting trick to keep some $50 billion in debt off its books. By doing so, Lehman was able to hide its financial weakness from investors, the auditor said.

Maybe the reason for a civil prosecution, rather than a criminal one. Everyone knows someone's got to go down. But a little grease might ease the punishment. The CEO of GS did visit the White House four times while they were mulling the case over ...
