Well, think about it for a moment. If the TP wants to be a real movement, it will have to police itself against this sort of thing. That means whenever an illiterate shows up with a poorly worded sign, the TPers should approach the person and say to them something to the effect of "Dude, you're not helping. Ditch the sign and learn to spell." Same thing for the most idiotically vocal in the group. When they start screaming racist remarks, the TPers should turn and shout the idiot down for being a jackass.

I dunno, seems like a good thing to me. Has the potential to make the TP movement a better thing.

Or did you think those were actually great qualities to have in a party trying to be in control?

I can't see the future and I also don't know how any reporter from AP would or wouldn't know whether a person in the crowd was or was not a member of the "crash" group. That said, he certainly would know how the rest of the TPers react to him. If a "crasher" starts spewing racist remarks and the rest of the TP crowd just stands there and lets him, then it's really on them for letting the guy do it.

This is exactly what I think a lot of folks have been saying for years about main stream Muslims and their reactions to extremist members. If you don't speak out about the idiots in your own group, then, yes, there is a problem.
