Transsexuals in Iran

Recommended Posts

I'm watching a documentary called Transsexual in Iran, and it's hard to believe what I'm seeing. Homosexuality is a crime there, but gender change surgery is allowed as a "cure" for transsexuals. It's illegal for someone to wear the wrong clothing for their gender before surgery, but OK afterwards. Apparently, the Muslim Clerics fully endorse and approve of the surgeries. The film claims that Iran is the number two country for sex-change operations behind Thailand. Pretty interesting stuff.

Any info/comments?

A torrent for the documentary is available on Demonoid under the filter "TV/English/Documentaries" and might be on Piratebay as well.

Hi 912,
Iran, transsexuals??? Hmmmmmm???? 'Been over 30 years since I was there (working for Grumman Aero) but I will say the concept of "Sexuality" in their culture was a far cry different from ours!!! One thing for sure, the "Saints" WILL win the Superbowl again before Hooters opens a resturant/bar in Iran....unless all the Hooterbabes are copys of "Vince the Hooters Guy!!!!!!"

Did they discuss the claims that surgery is sometimes forced on people who do not want it? Homosexuality and transsexualism are not the same thing.

Yeah, it was pretty clear that some felt pressured into it. The gov't. pretty much says "If you want to dress like a girl, we'll bust you, but we'll pay half the cost of surgery to turn you into a girl and everything will be okay." After the surgery, they are still ostracized by society, and in many cases are disowned by their families. One of them became a full time prostitute because there was no other way to make a living.

Isn't that also illegal in Iran?

I assume that it is illegal. I was hoping someone like Darius or Shah would post with some insight re the background on the situation there.

Actually believe it or not....it really isn't!
NO joke! You can have a temporary engagement!
The mullah takes any major credit cards, farts and says something and you are free to bang her like a barn door.
At the end of said banging you find mullah at the local hash bar and say "Yo, it didn't work out!" and bada bing bada boom and it's over!

Iran is one very complicated and one very fracked up country. In all of it's 2k years of being around it has never been ruled by such a conservative group of camel fuckers. It's just not the "Persian" soul to be so conservative.

To quote my grandmother, "We are Persians first and Muslims second." That is to say long before Islam there was Persia and long after Islam and it's nut jobs there will be Persia.
Life through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds is necessary to ensure happiness and to keep chaos at bay.

The only thing that falls from the sky is birdshit and fools!

It might be an appropriate sentence for all the assholes in Guantanamo...... after they get done with them drop them in Waziristan and let them live there as women with their good friends in the Taliban.

***According to Islamic law (when you speak of any religious law you have to leave out rational, if you find some it is there as a coincidence) It is possible for a person to want to be a woman or a woman to be a man, however fucking someone in the ass is wrong.

Also in Islam there is literally a law which basically says you can do what you want as long as you don’t get caught. Basically stating that you can live your life the way you wish inside your home, and as long as you do not effect society you are fine. But once they find out and others know then you are in trouble.

As stated by Shah we also have premarital sex in Islam.
And it is basically works the way he says.

There is amount discussed a time limit, and also records kept incase there is a child. It is called Seghdeh.

However I would not call the current Iran government an Islamic government. It is simply a way to keep control and power. They show the worst aspects of religion as is ofthen the case where one person has absoult power.

Historically, Christians have never done that.

Ever notice how we haven't heard from LaToya Jackson
since Michael died?

Coincidence?

Rhys might have the inside scoop on that.

I heard that they found her body with thermite all over her hands two blocks from ground zero wearing a tin foil hat. The CIA secretly burried her in the deserrt near area 51.

Seriously, I read it on the internet! If you don't believe me then believe Quince, he is a Doctor and read the secret autopsy report.:o
