I dunno. It looks like pretty bad "science" to me. It assumes that artists paining mythological figures 1000 years ago were concerned with accurate portrayals of food portions. The headlines also suggest that the rate of food portion increase is linear.

Quote from the link: "From the 52 paintings, which date between 1000 and 2000 A.D., the sizes of loaves of bread, main dishes and plates were calculated with the aid of a computer program that could scan the items and rotate them in a way that allowed them to be measured. To account for different proportions in paintings, the sizes of the food were compared to the sizes of the human heads in the paintings."

So the study proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt, either that through some bizarre conspiracy we can blame artists portrayal of the last supper for people getting monstrously fat, or everyones (well, most peoples) heads are getting smaller. Or we could look at the facts and blame Bill Clinton :D

And no, I couldn't type any of that with a straight face :D:D

I think the portrayal of Christ on the crucifix has changed over time, too. I see really old portrayals that show a weak, emaciated figure, with ribs exposed, barely clinging to life. Then I see newer figurines, with a Glenn Frye "Rock-Hard" body that has apparently been taking supplements and working with a personal trainer. It certainly appeals to what we currently value as a society.

Not only is it fattening, but double cheeseburgers for Passover is just about as non-kosher as you can get.

:)

Doesn't a few words from a Rabbi and a wave of his hand fix that?
