However, they omit that he added a major difference, he gutted the tax exemption. Read that thread. It identifies all that facts. Obama (on his website) stated that McCains plan was bad because it would raise taxes massively. This was totally false and identified by FactCheck.org. Also, NPR said the same thing. The McCain plan had a tax cut in it. Obama never took the lie off his website. Dems don't care if their candidates lie, so - not a problem. Then, O took the McCain plan and took out the tax cut and morphed it into the plan that he attacked McCain for (the lie, remember?). So, the Dems are trying to claim that they are using the Rep plan.
