Sarah Palin advocates violence

Recommended Posts

Quote

You do know what is meant by targeting a seat, don't you? Your implication that Sarah wants people to do violence upon those people is just stupid beyond all belief.

This whole uproar is beyond stupid; it's what comes of paying attention to Beavis and Butthead.

Can't you just imagine those two looking at that map and saying "heh heh -- it's got guns." I'm sure there are those on the right who look at that map and think it's slyly funny because of the cross-hairs, just as there are those on the left who are outraged by the same thing.

Let's all let them be amused and outraged. Because it's fucking stupid either way.

>To be surprised when a small number of radicals resort to violence
>is ignorant.

If that's really true - and violence is a perhaps-not-common but expected result of political anger - then we have a good reason to shut down political protests. After all, we only guarantee the right to "peaceful assembly." If, as you say, it is ignorant to expect that, then that clause does not apply to political protest.

I do not think that is the case.

We are real close to seeing eye to eye on this.
What I said was that it is ignorant to be surprised when it does happen, as in "Holy Shit! They got mad a smashed windows..who ever would have thought anyone would do such a thing?"

All I'm saying to you, Bill, is that when politicians pass legislation as far reaching as this was, they have to be aware of the possible reactions to it. We can all hope it is peaceful, we can all want it to be peaceful, but our past does not allow us the luxury of being surprised when some idiots take a non-peaceful approach.

Those who make the laws and policies that govern our country have to be aware of the impact those laws and policies will have and cannot expect there to be no reaction. When you mess with peoples lives in a drastic manner, there will be a small number who take drastic actions in retaliation. To think people will lie down and just accept whatever is written into law without protest is ignorant.

It was wrong when the parents of the current crop of bigots resorted to violence in response to the civil rights laws, and it is equally wrong now.

With luck though, the South will secede.;)

and is the stance of the left to "protect" shows as art and freedom of speech(unless of course they don't agree with the premise of the show) so yes, I can see those you typed about doing what you posted. Only the targets are different

but one of the defense's arguments was that they were acting as mob, and there wasn't individual responsibility

that truly sickens me
there is always individual choice/responsibility

Quote

the person inciting the riot is blameless

but he is blameless for the actions of those rioting - he is only responsible for incitement itself - and that would be weak if the 'mob' were adults and not so ready to be 'triggered'

if he then participated, then he's blamed for both, separate, acts

Yes sir, it was and is wrong. No argument there.

As you remember, the South tried to secede.
The attempt was met with violence. B|

Sniper threat to kids after US health reform vote
Updated Thu Mar 25, 2010 10:28am AEDT

Death threats have been made against some Democratic members of the US Congress who voted for president Barack Obama's historic healthcare reforms.

. . .

[Stupak's] office has released some of the abusive phone calls he has received.

"You and your family are scum. You ought to fill your pockets with lead and jump in the Potomac," said another.

Democrat Louise Slaughter says a caller to her office has vowed to send snipers to "kill the children of the members who voted yes".

She reported the call to police who are now providing protection for her grandchildren.

What the fuck are you talking about?

What the fuck I'm talking about is your heroin placing targets on the locations referring to legislators. Then the rally call. Sure, you'll denounce the targets as purely political locations, but all it takes to stir up tea bagging trash is shit like that, that's what the fuck I'm talking about.

What a waste of oxygen....

They're keystrokes, I didn't say a thing.

I wasn't referring to what you were saying.

Quit being coy, what were you referring to?

Please, don't tell him that...I need my daily headshake-face-in-hands dose. Where else does he have to go? Wiki? The Onion? The VA?

You're like that comedian doing 10-yer old jokes, perhaps Bob Hope; it shows your empty bag of nothing. ;) BTW, let's talk CNNBC, or do you onlhy work one way - lockstepped? We knew that.

No one is lock-stepped with me. I'm simply here to help you maintain the sound foundation of your demeanor upon which you built, all by yourself...because, after all, not everyone appreciates the depth of those sources of
information you use...

1) Right, about me not the issues

2) What sources, the BLS, BEA, NBER, etc? The ones you run from?

Hardly.
Yesterday some tea baggers posted the address of one of our Congressman on their website(actually they got it wrong and posted his brother's address). Someone came by and cut gas lines at his house.
Is this the new face of "conservatism"?

Apparently it is. The GOP has become the party of "NO", mean spirit, bigotry and no class.

Become? As in just yesterday? Try since Harding Coolidge.

Gee, my stock market prediction seems to be exactly right on the money. 6 months ago you called for a market crash, it's only gone stronger and you claim you are a pro stock trader. :S Maybe I, "cannot believe nothing you have ever said," or typed in this case.
