Actually he got his start in radio that led to his money.... by where his mouth had been. Lush did have a gay mentor named Norm Woodruff, who "taught him how to dress". While that is not proof positive that he is a closet queen and it does not make him gay(um huh... yeah right), but it certainly is an laughable image to think of Lush Rimjob on a shopping trip to the mall with his gay mentor.

I doubt very much people who currently have access to decent medical care would want to come up north for their health care. Canada's health care is great if you break you leg (if you do not mind waiting 4-12 hours in the emergency room waiting area). But there are definitely some major problems going on for more serious health care needs.

These problems are not going on everywhere, but would you be happy if one of your relatives died in the hospital because they were neglected by the hospital staff? Would you be happy if one of your relatives died because their condition was misdiagnosed.

Canada's socialized health care system is not the system you should be trying to emulate.

when i was in germany back in the early 90's, i do remember that they could run a healthcare system. all they did was put a 14% tax on everything, they had no income taxes, and all healthcare was absolutely free for everyone. granted i was a us soldier at the time, but i interacted with the locals, dated a few, and made a few lasting friendships. in my opinion, and that's all any of you have, that was an excellent plan. if you wanted to save your money, you didn't pay taxes on it. if you spent money, it was taxed. call it socialism if you want, but it worked, and for EVERYONE, not just the wealthy, or just the poor. i don't even read these forums much anymore because i am tired of listening to idiots (not everyone, you know who you are) belly ache about how hard it is to make the 2d car payment, and make the boogie to wherever, or can't afford a 2d home, etc. i've been a student for over 7 years because i can't afford to jump more than once a year or so. i'm not complaining, mind you, but when i finally get a decent job, i get laid off due to the failing economy. i had a decent living when in the military, but got tired of going to war for whatever reason, so i got out. you all need to remember one thing: bush=obama. they are all politicians and not one of them is worth a damn. we need to go back to the early 1800's in the way of how to govern the country. of course, the alternative is go somewhere else, and good riddance to the whiners.

Germany has income tax as well as the VAT you describe. Healthcare was NOT free, sorry - I recall looking up health insurance when I was living in Mannheim back in the 90's.

Why yes I do, my next door neighors are a commited gay couple. They are not of the Log Cabin super closeted self loathing kind though, that have to go out of their way to hurt other gay people in any way they can to "PROVE" they are not gay. They arenot particularly OUT.. they just live normal lives, run their small business and take wonderful care of their horses and other pets...although their FUCKING PEACOCKS make me a little nuts.

Am I gay.. nope..not even close. I find that sort of thing a little to limiting as far as relationships and life go.
