But it does work in most cases - and that's why I think it's one of the better investments you can make in the future. Money is not the only answer. Most especialy when said money is controled by goverment That however, is not the message"America will never be destroyed from the outside, if we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." tkhayes 348 #78 March 26, 2010 Healthcare is not 'free', no one is saying that. And every other country in the world that has single payer pays less per capita than we do, so the 'cost' argument has been won time and time again. Your point is most CERTAINLY, invalid. My point was a paraphrase of bill's statement - quit being so literal. To rebut you other points, you can't just look at per capita costs, but the quality of care as well - Americans get more tests and more high tech tests than many other countries. That doesn't come cheap.Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706

How silly of me.... When you're rebutting a quote from an author/editorialist as if it were a literal argument? Yup, pretty silly. Oh - you need to roll up that 'I can finally afford healthcare now that someone else is paying for it' banner - it's getting tangled in the hooves of your white charger.Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. You'd think the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland etc. would be broke. What with their gargantuan military-industrial complexes, permanent national security states, mandatory foreign bogeymen and endless foreign wars, I'm shocked, shocked that they're not broke. Oh - and their vigorous cannabis prosecutions and proportions of prison populations incarcerated for drug offenses. I forgot to mention that.
