I'll simply go on welfare and all you poor fuckers that wanted this can pay for my ass to sit home and do nothing. Have fun with that. The construction industry will virtually shut down very soon because of this. prices to recoup fines and taxes will drive construction costs so high that very few will be able to afford to build new or even remodel. Have fun supporting me - Psssst , The idiots that were for this, Don't Own Shit...They are the leaches of Society, and think the world owes them! Iceburner 0 #27 March 24, 2010 figuring i'd chime in here...being on govt health care already (military) i'd let you know my experience so far....have been waiting on a knee surgery since 2007, which resulted in further tearing of miniscus, a torn petella, and barely able to walk. They are great for the minor things, but when it's a bit more serious, it just seems to take longer and longer. I'm not too certain that anyone really likes the govt health insurance that we get...although i guess it's "free" so who are we to complain? I guess i just took it for granted that many military members took the private insurance of thier spouses because the govt system that we had was pretty fucked. Now, a lot of people will be on the govt system that IMO wasn't that great to start with. I know that my insurance is not exactly like what the plan offered, but seriously, what has the govt run that people seriously liked? so go ahead dems, label me an uninformed republican and prais Obama --Edit to add...do you buy car insurance for an oil change? Nor do you buy health insurance for regular check ups. Yea they are more expensive, but you pay higher rates for more serious injuries. I have yet to know a hospital that wont treat a patient for something serious, whether they have the $ to afford it or not...
billvon 3,109 #28 March 24, 2010 >I have yet to know a hospital that wont treat a patient for something >serious, whether they have the $ to afford it or not... Right, which is the JohnRich healthcare plan that many conservatives think is a valid option. Go to a hospital and just don't pay. As a result, hospitals and doctors are going bankrupt, and insurance companies pass along all that cost (billions) to us. That's something that has to be fixed, not encouraged. The Markets work much like the religion of Global Warming...there is a cooling tread coming, I'm sure of it. You and Stanley ought to get together and have a nice conversation about this, he has been delluded on this issue since last October or so. He was calling for the sky to fall since then and has been on suicide watch twice as his margins came due on his shorts. GDP, Unemp, and teh market are doing EXTREMELY WELL and have been since your turd is gone and my awesome pres is in. As an aside, I did extremely well during the Clinton years, exceptionally horribly during the Bush years and things are really spinning around a year into Obama's time. This really makes my entire attitude positive; these kinds of things are contagious and I see a lot of people feeling the same way. If attitudes stay + I see a long, sustain growth period and a minimizing of the ugly Republicna Party, not the end, but a real cooling off period as far as R's being elected. turtlespeed 226 #31 March 24, 2010 QuoteIf you assume that healthcare is something your employees were already getting, with the money you gave them, then all you're doing is moving the dollars around. Cut their pay by $500/month and provide them $500/month in healthcare coverage instead. Blues, Dave Sure - I'll do that as soon as I want no employees. Why don't you take a 500 dollar deduction and give it to them yourself. Bottom line is that I will have to increase my costs and my prices to the owners and by that, they will no longer be able to afford my services. That will be industry wide and construction which is my livelyhood will decrease and I will not have the opportunity to create a living as I have done so far. That said - only the larger companies will be able to absorb the damage being wroght by this administration. So ion short, I will not be able to work . . . support me. It's not scientific or statistically significant to take 1 non-random sample and draw a conclusion to the whole system. Furthermore, your IRA may have sold stock and bought bonds, which is likely; bonds soared as the market crashed. Management/mismanagement of 1 IRA account means absolutley zip to the argument of economy. Do I need to post the GDP #'s, the NBER saying the Great Recession started in late 2007, the 3.4% unemployment rose from Feb 08 to Feb 09 per the BLS, or the market crash from a high of 14K+ to a low of 6500 in about 2 years as it freefell before and during Obama's inauguration? Do I? Are you going to argue that GWB's economy was stellar or even acceptable? Please make the argument or ask me to make the counter-argument. I doubt you'll do either, you'll just go on telling us about your IRA and acct as tho the economy spins around it.
