Lets see, two agents, one car, (hopefully only one) driving time, cost aprox. 150.00 to collect a 4 cent debt...(that has ballooned to over 200 in 3 years????) Or send a letter, secretaries time, envelope, aprox 3 dollars..

There is something wrong with this story. They charge by the whole dollar. The carwash people were more than likely paying down what was originally a penalty for evasion or a late filing, and they did not pay the last 4 cents as some sort of rebellion (or they were stupid with thier accountancy) They were already wrong and they are geting spanked for pushing the issue.

Given that it's been three years, and the bill is now $200, I suspect the letter from the secretary thing didn't work.
