(just some advice) Why to me? I have no influence over their policy. But we both would contest the claim that security exists, with Iran actively pursuing the bomb. And so long as it has it's own nukes, it's not going to be forced to negotiate away anything. It will choose to do when it feels the gains of peace are real. Their elected government shifts back and forth on the topic - the electorate seems to be in the more aggressive stance right now. So I take it there will not be any supporting evidence for your Palestine nation stance?

The Arab populations have always greatly outnumbered the Jews, yet on multiple occasions they failed to succeed on the battlefield. The numbers won't change in the future. And as the oil dollars start to decline, so will those nations' power. Israel will push until all of its neighbors acknowledge its right to exist. When that happens, resolution becomes possible. The earliest known mention is thought to be in Ancient Egyptian texts of the temple at Medinet Habu which record a people called the P-r-s-t (conventionally Peleset) among the Sea Peoples who invaded Egypt in Ramesses III's reign. The Hebrew name Peleshet - usually translated as Philistia in English, is used in the Bible to denote the southern coastal region that was inhabited by the Philistines to the west of the ancient Kingdom of Judah. The Assyrian emperor Sargon II called the same region Palashtu or Pilistu in his Annals. In the 5th century BCE, Herodotus wrote in Ancient Greek of a 'district of Syria, called Palaistinê" (whence Palaestina, whence Palestine). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinestay away from moving propellers - they bite blue skies from thai sky adventures good solid response-provoking keyboarding

dreamdancer 0 #57 April 2, 2010 QuoteThe total Palestinian population, including descendants, is estimated at approximately 12 million, roughly less than half continuing to live within the boundaries of what was Mandate Palestine, an area encompassing Israel proper, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip. In this combined area, as of 2009, they constitute a majority of 49% of all inhabitants. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_peoplestay away from moving propellers - they bite blue skies from thai sky adventures good solid response-provoking keyboarding

dreamdancer 0 #60 April 3, 2010 looks like they want a war... Quote"We hear a lot of Israeli threats day in and day out, and not only threats," Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri told the BBC. "We see what is happening on the ground and in our airspace.during the past two months-every day we have Israeli airplanes entering Lebanese airspace." Hariri added that he considered the situation "really dangerous." The increasing tension was behind the recent visit to Beirut by Senator Philippe Marini, French President Nicholas Sarkozy's special envoy to Lebanon. After Marini met with Hariri, Christian Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea, and Hezbollah leaders, the envoy said that he feared a Hezbollah-Israel rematch could easily become a regional war. Rhetoric all over the region is heating up. Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman first said that Israel would never return the Golan Heights to Syria, prompting Syria's Foreign Minister Walid al- Muallem to comment that Israel "should not test Syria's determination." Lieberman responded by taking direct aim at Syrian President Bashar Assad: "In the next war, not only will you lose, but you and your family will lose the regime." http://www.alternet.org/world/146289/is_israel_about_to_trigger_a_new_middle_east_warstay away from moving propellers - they bite blue skies from thai sky adventures good solid response-provoking keyboarding
dreamdancer 0 #61 April 9, 2010 and they have weapons of mass destruction... QuoteIsrael's prime minister has called off a trip to Washington next week to attend a conference on nuclear non-proliferation, deepening tensions with Barack Obama and threatening to overshadow an event the US president views as crucial to his global agenda. Israeli officials said Benjamin Netanyahu decided to send a minister in his place after reports that Muslim nations in the Middle East would single out Israel's undeclared nuclear programme for criticism. The White House tried to downplay the cancellation, but will be privately furious at a very public snub by Mr Netanyahu, who may have been looking for such an opportunity after a recent tete-a-tete with Mr Obama behind closed doors in Washington. Mr Netanyahu returned home from those talks to a tide of derision in the Israeli press, with a showdown over Jewish settlement construction in East Jerusalem unresolved and relations between the two allies descending into open hostility. Muslim nations including Egypt, which has a peace treaty with Israel have often complained about Israel's nuclear programme. The Jewish state has not admitted to possessing nuclear weapons, preferring a policy it calls "ambiguity." International experts have estimated that Israel has dozens, possibly hundreds, of nuclear bombs. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/israel/7569871/Benjamin-Netanyahu-snubs-US-nuclear-conference.htmlstay away from moving propellers - they bite blue skies from thai sky adventures good solid response-provoking keyboarding
