BTW, do you have a concealed carry permit?HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit. Nope, and Texas doesn't have open carry laws, so I don't carry in public. Is there a reason for the question?Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. Belgian_Draft 0 #103 March 19, 2010 Yep. Because I hear the same argument you are giving- that we shouldn't have to pay to exercise our rights- think nothing of paying out the butt for a required concealed carry course.HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit. Because that's the only way we *CAN* exercise the right to carry, since the overwhelming majority of us don't live on gun ranges or BLM lands. That, of course, is AFTER jumping through all the existing hoops, regardless of what the anti's are doing to put up more and more of them.Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. To the best of my knowledge you can carry in any fashion you see fit on private property as long as the owner lets you. Like i said in a previous post, you vicinity to a public range or BLM ground is irrelevent to whether or not you can shoot a gun there without a license. Sure it seems like the antis are putting up all the hoops they can. But, on the other hand, the NRA would have no hoops at all. Until both sides quit arguing like school children the debate will go on and on.HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit. Belgian's suggestion will not prevent you from exercising your rights (which, as Scalia noted in Heller, are not unlimited). Then the extra expense of a poll tax doesn't prevent you from exercising your right to vote. Grow up, Mike. We're not the ones promoting poll taxes as legit. Talk about living in the 19th Century. I know you're not that old.

Until he clarifies his statement that rights aren't unlimited in response to $100 taxes on gun sales, it's quite reasonable to see him supporting poll taxes. I made a clear reference to it at the time. Starting to think you support them, too. What other agenda have you got, Bill?

You made a clear reference to supporting poll taxes? Do you support gun sale taxes too, then? (Yes, that's as stupid as your insinuation.)
