I second the nomination!

(as long as there are no skeletons in her closet):P

Nah... I keep skeletons where they belong, right out where everyone can see em! Far easier that way, don't you think?

I think the only objection to my closet might possibly be my favorite shoes.

To continue this most excellent omni-bash:

If a democrat is worried about public health, he favors laws that protect the environment, often at the expense of polluting companies. If a republican is worried about public health, he favors laws that protect the polluting companies, assuming the companies will increase their profits and thus everyone's health will benefit somehow. If a libertarian is worried about public health, he figures everything is fine until a few thousand people die from some odd pollutant, at which point their parents or kids can sue the company.

If a democrat is worried about the risk of fire, they vote to increase fire department funding. If a republican is worried about the risk of fire, they vote to get tax breaks for fire prevention companies. Libertarians don't worry. They figure if someone's house burns down and kills everyone inside, the next time they'll contract with a private fire company to come out and put out the fire.

If a democrat is worried about contagion, he votes to support the CDC. If a republican is worried about contagion, he votes for Big Pharma tax cuts. Libertarians figure they can wait until there's an epidemic until they worry about anything.

Makes perfect sense to me.

How's that H1N1 epidemic treating you?

I didn't get the shot, I did not get sick. But it sounds like some of the people who did get the shot are showing some interesting side effects.

Fine by me. How are you doing with it?

BTW ever had smallpox? No? Hmm. Anyone you know have it? No? I wonder where it went?

How about polio? Wonder what happened to that one, at least here in the Americas. It must have been due to the free market.

You forgot a couple...

If a conservative is a pedophile, he becomes a catholic priest.
If a conservative doesn't believe in abortion, he wants to ban it for everyone.
If a conservative sees someone who doesn't believe in his god, he wants to convert that person, or kill them in the name of his god, in the name of security, or just good common practice...

If a conservative isn't attracted to someone of the same sex, they want gay marriage, gay literature and gay military members banned.

If a conservative is attracted to someone of the same sex, they go to airport shitters and tap their foot under the stall partitions for gay sex. If they get caught they simply claim they shit with a wide stance.

NO, NO, NO!!!! You all have it wrong!!!!!

If a DEMOCRAT doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed. If a REPUBLICAN wants a gun he'll buy one and justify it publicly by calling all unarmed people "sheep" and exclaiming how great it would be to shoot all those evil criminals. If a LIBERTARIAN doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one. If he wants one, he buys one.

If a DEMOCRAT wants government to do something, he will lobby for it and then lobby to increase taxes to pay for it, while demanding that Republican sponsored programs be cut to pay for more Democrat sponsored programs. If a REPUBLICAN wants government to do something, he will lobby for it and then refuse to pay for what he has asked for, and demand that Democrat sponsored programs be cut to pay for it. A LIBERTARIAN would prefer that the government not do anything that isn't specifically enumerated in the constitution, and knows they'll probably even manage to screw that up, and would prefer not to pay for messes caused by the Republicans and Democrats.

- Other than throw them away like trash, what do you do with the 40 million seniors, the millions of handicapped, the homeless kids, etc? I know, just do your usual glossing over on this one; not your problem.

- A LIBERTARIAN would prefer that the government not do anything that isn't specifically enumerated in the constitution,... Talk about lemmings; isn't it OK to follow the gist of the US Const and make things work as changes occur? There is no way the FF could have imagined that we would do progressive things like, oh, look at people of color as more than 3/5 of a man, so since the document is so imperfect, let's look outside the box every now and then.

What you are basically saying is that conservatives emanate credibility, integrity and character, where a liberal lacks all of these attributes.

Yes, we agree.

If you consider cutting benefits to needy people and stuffing corporations full of cash to be all those flowery things above, you're right.

Sorry Quade, I just feel left out as a Libertarian. I feel like a victim. B|

Libertarian . . . victim.

And people wonder why Congress is stalemated with ugly, divisive partisanship.
Jeez, I don't know; maybe they just reflect their constituencies.

We are tired of carrying the so-called needy who are getting a free ride from functional people.

Needy people are like "stray animals." Give an animal or a person ample food supply and they will breed, especially ones that don't think too much further than that. You can see this on a visit to any inter-city.

They are breeding a culture of dependency which has grown out of control and and is paid for by hard-working, tax-paying families

Like cutting half a trillion dollars out of Medicare? Oh, wait - that was the Dems.

and stuffing corporations full of cash

Like the healthcare bill does with the insurance companies? Oh, wait - that's the Dems again.

Quite simply put, Conservatives are selfish, heartless, uncaring and overall bad people?

You're right.

I like to spend my spare time wishing that conservatives who bitch about supporting the poor end up losing everything, so I can watch them cry to the rich for help.

Oh no, right that's my bad- Who was I to think that child's life is more important than your big screen TV.

So what you're saying is that you support the incentives for dysfunctionals to continue breeding at the expense of hard working taxpayers?

So you don't deny that it's a heartless and selfish view. Good to know you've at least accepted it.

I myself am a hard working tax payer and I don't bitch about the poor 'dysfunctionals', I should point out that dysfunctional is a very relative term. I'm sure there are equal rich dysfunctional, drunken gamblers.

Besides it's not them that suffer it's the ones born into that environment.

So unless you have a humane solution to reproduction you're not doing any good. Do you think your lack of support is going to stop the birth of people into a poor life? It won't do shit. You`ll only be damaging those who are born into the situation and actually you'll just feed the problem.

I wish people would stop whining about having to support the poor, those who do can not complain about crime, EVER. Because I know if I were born into a shitty situation and all the stuck up rich people weren't willing to help I'd go steal from them any day.

Essentially it becomes totally political, the 'ghetto' as it were, will not become better without HUGE government input. And that will require extra taxes- but in the end it's your choice, you can be stuck up and not want to help and have things get worse and worse (crime etc) or you can try be part of trying to erradicate the problem.

Though with this said, the government will never be willing to put in enough, as what's needed. So unless you want to end up in a third world country like I'm in where crime is beyond epic, you may want to be a bit less selfish. Not everyone was born into a life of wealth and opportunity.

Or... as I said, find a humane way to stop breeding- because your selfishness won't.

What you are saying is that the people like myself who worked hard to get the things we have should share it with the people who just breed and contribute nothing to society rather they just take.

Stuck-up rich people? You mean people who went out and worked hard to make something of their life.

Only in the last century has this behavior been tolerated. Since the beginning of time it was not, and those who elected not to carry their own weight would simply die off.

I don't mind helping others to get them on their feet, but this never-ending uncontrolled breeding needs to be addressed. Just like animals, spaying and neutering is a great alternative.
