mnealtx 0 #2 February 19, 2010 Reading is fundamental: QuoteThe Medicare findings are bad news for President Barack Obama and his health care overhaul, bogged down in Congress. That's because the higher Medicare Advantage premiums for 2010 followed a cut in government payments to the private plans last year. And the Democratic bills pending in Congress call for even more cuts, expected to force many seniors to drop out of what has been a rapidly growing alternative to traditional Medicare.Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. Last year the copay for a specialist was $25 this year it is $30. Copay for a regular doc is $10. Last year I was treated for cancer and it cost me around $4K. We get no COLA in Social Security and an increase in Dr charges. I am a veteran so I get some care through the VA with a copay of $15. What is worse, sometimes I have to wait an hour or more just to see a doctor. I am a citizen and the government should take care of me. I spent my working years trying to help the dregs of society. Those social services were federally funded. They owe me. I think we should have free meals on wheels with pizza and bar-b-que on the menu also.Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. Watch this, kids, this is how yopu lose these types. So tell me, what of the 30-45 million w/o any coverage whatsoever? What of the elderly who may lose their benefits in part? I know: FUCK THEM. Gawain 0 #14 February 19, 2010 QuoteHey! Who are you to claim lucky is wrong? Don't you know he is an expert in this? The real question is what is Lucky doing trying to cite a news source like AP via Yahoo!? I mean, why look to real world examples in Zimbabwe or Colombia to see what happens when there is government take over and cost controls enacted? I'm sure Lucky can find real facts via the Onion and Wiki while Dreamdancer finds insightful though direction via alternet... in fact, he might have honed his skills through VOCREHAB benefits available at the VA...So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! At least they have lowered the range by 10 million. Even still, at least half the number cited fall into one of 2 categories: 1 - They simply don't want it - unless it is truly free - which it never ever will be. 2 - They are not US citizens, and should not be living off the US tit." . . . the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude as by flogging them and kicking them into obedience." -- Aldous Huxley

To be an expert you would need to know the mechanical properties of the common alloys used in aircraft structures, knowledge you proved to lack. You best get back to the tv. I bet 10-15 million of those would / could get insurance with a couple little changes to the system we have now. But then government wouldn't control the money and that just pisses the left off.
