I actually have seen her legs; a touch thick, but still within range." . . . the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude as by flogging them and kicking them into obedience." -- Aldous Huxley
pirana 0 #28 March 19, 2010 Quote so far, zero for nine in writing anything that wasn't backhanded - {{idrankwhat came close (if only the urge to write the first bit wasn't so overwhelming)}} 7 for 9 - subtle or obtuse slams in costume 2 for 9 - mockery IMHO we are so narcissistic, that we are becoming incapable of respectful disagreement I think Paul Wellstone truly and unselfishly, believed in what he was trying to do. (stop here, right here, this is good and meets the intent of the thread....... don't say "even though he was dangerously wrong".....just don't add that bit.... c'mon, you can do it) arrrrrghhh..... must control impulse.... and Dick Cheney certainly has improved in the last 6 months in his gun safety habits Everybody believes in what they are trying to do; that's why they do it. (And I don't necessarily mean their publicly stated reason, but their self-motivating reason). I do believe most everyone (other than the mentally infirm) act with good intent. Unfortunately, intent only makes a person honorable, results confer competency." . . . the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude as by flogging them and kicking them into obedience." -- Aldous Huxley

James Hopefully we will not see the day when one of them takes a bite and finds out they taste like shrimp cocktail. If that happens, look for someone somewhere on some school board to advocate a biology text revision declaring humans to not really be human until they can attain a 100 word vocabulary. (Be about 4th grade in some states). Until they have met vocabulary requirements, they'll be fair game." . . . the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude as by flogging them and kicking them into obedience." -- Aldous Huxley

wmw999 2,589 #31 March 19, 2010 I like Kay Bailey Hutchinson. I think she's a pragmatic conservative who thinks things through well before voting on them. I don't necessarily agree with her, but I don't have to. For the upcoming Texas gubernatorial election, I saw a KBH / Bill White contest as a win-win situation.
