QuoteQuoteQuoteIt is clear you think that minorities can not compete for jobs without "affirmative action".
What does that say about you?
James
it is clear you do not know your history.
"History" is just that, history. You need to stop living in the past and progress.
You clearly think as James stated above or you simply fail to understand the concept of 'affirmative action'. I guess it was wrong of us to think you would.
I will try to give you one more example. If someone is given an opportunity solely based on their race i.e. 'affirmative action' then someone else is denied that that same opportunity based on their race. When you deny a person or group of people an opportunity based on their race that is racism. Do you understand?
Should we not strive for equality for all and favoritism for none? If so then we need to progress and move away from affirmative action.
Can you answer the 2 questions I posed to you... I have low expectations.
ps- I understand history so you can save the key strokes.
so you're white and resentful of affirmative action - like the vast majority in the tea party. you also don't want health care for the poor/black?

you are a master twister sir
But as long as you are for racism, as your posts clearly indicate, there will be no normal conversation with you.
I too pity you, as looking differently at people just because of thier color, has to make like a bit tough for you

(and full of resentment about their slavery to affirmative action

Yeah and you are denying me a job in the NBA because of my race.
You are a racist.

Really? wow ...
I wonder if you could apply the same logic elsewhere then.
Who do you want to hire?
Do you hire the most qualified candidate?
or do you hire someone based on their race?
LOL ... oh the irony ...
as long as you continue to preach this "Affirmative Action" insanity I will continue to call for my job in the NBA. But the moment you realize "Affirmative Action" for the insanity that it is, then I will accept that there are better people out there who are more qualified than myself and I will let my dream of playing in the NBA die.

Having to fight such racists feelings you have and then posting against those same tendencies must torment you quite badly.

As long as you continue to practice your own form of racism, I will continue to call for my NBA career and to deny me this career means that you don't believe in "Affirmative Action". You instead believe in a select form of "Affirmative Action" where certain races will be given preferential treatment over others.
I'm not the one acting like a racist here.
I believe jobs should be given to the most qualified candidates.

don't bother with him, Canuck. He cannot understand how he just walked himself into the wall there, so he'll keep repeating the usual blah.

More to the point, you can not deal with yours. You don't even understand what it is methinks (except for your own definition)QuoteQuoteQuoteQuotei think you'll find you're just not good enough

I don't even play basketball. So of course I am not good enough to play in the NBA.

Too bad you can not apply the logic of my lack of basketball skills to others who lack skills to do [insert whatever job description you want here]. The most qualified person regardless of their race should be hired for the job. If some [insert whatever race you want here] is more qualified then myself for a specific job, then they should get the opportunity before I get it. I am okay with this. Why aren't you? Why do you continue to be a racist? LOL
