christelsabine 1 #26 January 23, 2010 Quote Quote It's just very bad style to use such a tool after a meal. Change in style, absolutely. No good (or 1st class restaurant) will have them in store for clientele, at least at the restaurants I use to frequent over here. It's just a matter of good behaviour, perhaps not known in every part of the world. A restaurant with tooth picks on tables is low class. Christel, I'm an American who has never had the opportunity to travel overseas, could you please explain this further? Bring your own? Excuse youself and rinse your mouth out in the restroom? No. Don't bring your own, don't ask the waiter. It's just a question of etiquette in my corner of the world. The pub around the corner or downtown my have a box of toothpicks on the bar or tables but, never ever would a good restaurant tolerate such an icky way to clean teeth. In case you feel there is something resting between your teeth: Excuse youself and rinse your mouth out in the restrom Exactly how you said. dudeist skydiver # 3105
