>The US governments refusal to even consider the use of explosives . . .

Section 3.3 of the report on the final NIST report on the collapse of WTC7 considers the use of explosives.

D'oh!

My bad, NIST didn't look for evidence of explosives...

No radiophobes here, what has that got to do with anything.

More to the point ones pride will allow them to overlook the obvious and disregard common sence.

I suppose you also think building 7's collapse 'looks' nothing like a controlled demolition just like old belgie over here!

You know that 'could' be a possibiliy, as the nature of the the collapses points to explosives

The biggest demolitions firm in New York, one that had multiple seismometers operating in the area, says otherwise. And they say it in one of your own precious peer-reviewed truther journals.

But you're just going to dismiss their qualifications and experience, right?

See, stuff like this: "The biggest demolitions firm in New York, one that had multiple seismometers operating in the area, says otherwise. And they say it in one of your own precious peer-reviewed truther journals" tends to make you look crazy. Instead of supporting your cause, you are hurting your cause.

Maybe a website where people believe in black helicopters and chemtrails would be more to your liking...then again, they may think you're even crazier then they are due to the sky-jumping.

I don't dismiss thier qualifications but have never been able to get my head aroundhow they could distinguish between the explosions and the collapses by using a seismometer due to the rapid onset of the collapses, and the nature of shock waves, combined with the time between the explosives and the collapses being so miniscule.

How do you suggest the use of a seismometer could define whether or not explosives were used?

1. High explosives and impact from collapse have two very different signatures on seismology equipment. This can be seen on every demolition blast that is recorded.
2. Collapse is not instantaneous with explosion.

Have you ever used a seismometer, or examined the readings that result from controlled demolitions?

if the answer is no, this could explain your confusion.

Oh, and just for the fun of throwing one of your favourite tactics back at you... are you saying that they are lying!?! You have no idea what they've recorded or what they saw but you're going to call them liars?

I'm saying the you cannot distinguish beween explosives and the largest structure fialures in history buy watching a needle go off the scale, when both events happened at the same time!

Simple!

Not complex, simple!

You debunker buddies are just looking for ways to overlook the obvious! You cannot change what happened and structures like that do not fall at freefall acceleration (even NIST admits that) no matter how weakened a proponent of it my be, especially not symmetrically, it is simply not possible without explosives and nobody can ever debunk that fact as it is quite simply a fact and is why NIST added it to thier hypothesis> they failed to adjust the imminent rammifications of the data in thier final prognosis though!.

On what basis? Do you know what the seismograph plot of a demolition charge looks like? Do you know what the seismograph plot of the subsequent collapse looks like? What grounds do you have for saying they lcouldn't tell?

[rhys style argument]And so you are saying they are lying! How dare you, they were there, you don't know what they saw, you can't just accuse them of lying to protect your story![/rhys style argument]

It happened due to decades of American apathy and arrogance. After the 72 olympics we were all on notice, we just decided to ignore.

I have a hard time believing that the buildings fell so symetrically too, but I know nothing of EOD, achitecture so I just can't claim they were pulled.

Politically tho, funny how they blame Clinton when Bush had almost 8 months to rectify all the security gaffs that Clinton supposedly did, instead he was on his ranch the entire month of August and never mentioned anything about bringing security up.

I think the US knew an attack was immenent, but I don't think there was a conspiracy by the US to assist in the blowing up of the WTC's/bldg 7.

Its pretty obvious you have no knowledge of seismic wave form analysis. Ever heard of P and S waves, fast Fourrier transforms, plateau and wave band analysis? Time delay, sequence analysis, VOD analysis.

I could go on, but you obvisouly have made your mind up already. These explosive exprets who's life and business rely on making sure the charges they set off and set off exactly as planned, and do not generate more then set vibration patterns, dont know how to analyse seismic data...

There's this dude sitting in a room in a basement wearing big 1960s headphones looking at a needle move around on a strip chart and suddenly the needle starts flying around and the guy goes, "whoa!" and throws his headphones off and fails out of his chair as the single light flickers in the hanging fixture that starts swaying ever so slightly back and forth.

He slowly collects himself and peers over the strip chart paper, now slightly torn as the machine was knocked over in the commotion. His eyes dance back and forth rapidly looking over the squiggles that were recorded and then at once they come to a stop and he looks up into the camera and says softly, "...my god..."

/edited to add: Oh wait right... my mistake... that's not how it works.

I think someone needs to take a class in seismology. Our seismographs at university could pick up a windy day on the coast of Oregon 100 miles away based on wave action crashing into the beach. We could tell when there was a rockfall up in the crater based on readings in the instruments. That was nearly 30 years ago with less sensative intruments than are available today.

It was the jews.. just look in many of the newspapers in the Arab world right after the attacks... Including the "news" from AlRiyadh

Ooh, ooh! I did FFT's in college, both analog and discrete.
Again when I worked for a defense contractor.
Do I get a cookie?:D

Seriously, FFT's are used a lot in the military, e.g. that is how sonar gear identifies types of ships/subs just by sound.

Brilliant!

Here's my theory:

While NIST may or may not have been sloppy about one or two analyses they made, evidence continues to mount showing how heavily damaged the buildings were, how the collapses related to particular structural damage, and how no record can be found of massive initiating explosions from demolitions.

(Some think the buildings should have tipped over, because their knowledge of structural engineering comes from accidentally knocking over the tower they built out of LEGO as a kid.)

It is all part of the conspiracy of course that the collapses had to APPEAR to be naturally caused, so that the distrustful public (so eager to find conspiracies) wouldn't suspect a controlled demolition. That's why the conspirators had to arrange their explosions or melting of steel to precisely correspond to normal structural collapses, initiated at the exact times that partial natural collapses started to occur. This also allowed them to avoid having to place tons of explosives or thermal burning material throughout the buildings while they still operated.

I call this the "homeopathic thermite" theory. Infinity small amounts of diluted thermite, undetectable to forensics, were used to bring down the buildings, timed to mix precisely with structural failures just as they happened naturally from fire and impact damage.

Of all the technical subjects I studied in school, Fourier analysis is one of the top three that really stand out as being the kind of thing that should be taught universally. It sits at the heart of much more complicated topics that I wouldn't subject people to against their will, but I think the basics could be taught qualitatively without too many exploding heads.

Initially, FFT's nearly did make my head explode.:S[:/]
It was only when they introduced the discrete form, that I finally understood the analog form.
