rhys 0 #1 January 17, 2010 Why would the FBI be so stupid as to use an actual persons features in the Bin Ladin photo. This guy is politician and is outspoken 'against' US foregin policy, I wonder if it was purposeful? QuoteA Spanish politician on Saturday said he was surprised and shocked to find out the FBI used some of his features in a new computer-generated photo of al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. Gaspar Llamazares, member of the United Left party in Spain and known for his anti-American positions, said he would no longer feel safe travelling to the United States after his hair and facial wrinkles were used in an updated photo of Osama bin Laden recently released by the FBI. story here This is just the first article I found on the subject, i just saw it on Al Jazeera. Surely they have graphic artists capable of creating such images without using actual peoples features, my father is a graphic artist and I have seen him do so before, he even changed the expressions on a 'talent' childs/toddlers face because he wouldn't smile in the photo shoot. The FBI has again shown it's incompetence."When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

I see tham as actually quite pro america in many of thier reportings, there isn't anything to say they are anti america that i have seen, but i don't get cable at home so have only watched Al jazeers a few times."When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

I hate american cunts, just ans much as i hate new zealander cunts, australian cunts, english cunts, arabic cunts, asian cunts or any cunt that has no respect for others. Maybe by posting a link to a report from Al Jazeera that shows signs of hate against america. I am still watching it and it seems very balanced with english, US and arab reporters. Are you saying arabs are incapable of reporting news? I simply want to know where this strong opinion you have on the channel came from, you must have a reason to think Al Jazeera breeds america haters. From what I can see they are going out of thier way to be balanced due to the opinions of those such as yourself. If you can show me where they make america hating comments, then I may be inclined to beleive you, until then your comments are nothing more than racist."When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix

You can get good information from all of them if you ignore the opinion pieces disguised as news.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. Its a favored theme on AlJazeera.. plenty of links where they want to point out how the poor muslims all over the world and especially in the west are the victims of racism. I wonder if they have reported very much on the slavery that abounds in the arab world? I wonder if they report on how foreign workers in the arab world are treated? I dont think I have seen them put much about their own racism against others like Israel for example though. Their reports on the evils of the jewish state are cerrtainly interesting. I know several of our posters must swallow those reports hook line and sinker though with their hatred for jews.
champu 1 #25 January 17, 2010 The story was on the AP wire yesterday afternoon. It doesn't surprise me that many media outlets are covering it. Attached is a three way comparison of the photos in question. (credit: AP) Suggesting that this was done on purpose because of Llamazares's political views is an attribution to malice where stupidity suffices. If you go on google images looking for particular features to use in a composite, chances are you're going to wind up using a picture of someone famous. /edited to add: And is it me, or does Llamazares look kinda like Judd Hirsch?
