skyjumpenfool 2 #28 January 3, 2010 Winchester Model 1200 w/ Sawed off 3" slug barrel and pistol grip stock. Not easy to conceal, but pretty good stopping power! It only takes about 4 weeks of therapy to heal my wrist after I fire a round. OK. I don't really carry that, but, I'm looking at buying a hand gun to shoot at the range. Looking for good quality inexpensive and not interested in conceal & carry. My son is in the military and has his conceal & carry and I think we'd have a good time together at the range. I'm thinking about a 9mm Berretta??Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
AggieDave 6 #29 January 3, 2010 Do you have a range that has range guns you can rent? If so, then try out some of the SA and Revolvers on hand. For SA I would personally take a look at the Glock variants, H&K USP series, STI, Kimber, Sig and you can shoot the Berretta as well. They're all good weapons, each has its advantage and disadvantage, although some will argue until they're blue in the face as to why one sucks and one is better. Personally I don't like H&K triggers and Sigs don't fit my hand very well. I love Kimber (and you pay for it) and I really like Glock (just try to break one). That, however, is personal preference. Enjoy, shoot all you can and take some classes. I've had a LOT of fun attending training classes taught by different people and organizations.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." AggieDave 6 #31 January 3, 2010 Not enough experience that I've really formed a hard opinion. Just a couple of hundred rounds through a couple of different models. My overall feeling is positive, though.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
