Who was it that told the detainee to complain, then told the superior to give them what amounts to a written warning, and then convinced the SEALS to ask to be courts martial?

That's a lot of strings and the cooperation of people exactly opposed to the political agenda of whatever group or person orchestrated this.

Any publicity that came from this is due to the fact the SEALS asked to be courts martial. If they had not taken that action, there would have been absolutely no media attention to this situation.

Hence, if in this case the process is being abused to make political points, it can only have come from the right wing.

As per reports posted on this site before the Taliban are trained to complain of abuse. They know they get great air time on the US state run media if it get escalated as this one has.

And this was happening at a time when the war cry's were at their worst (even though we hear little now when Obama has escalated war efforts)
