happythoughts 0 #1 December 17, 2009 At the park where I run, there is a guy who sits on a bench each day and tries to tell others about the voices that he talks to. He seems harmless, other than being annoying, so we ignore him. If you keep moving, he doesn't follow you or harass you. We are pretty sure that he is mentally ill. I'm not sure if he has ever been diagnosed by a professional, but I am not qualified to say. However, he has all the earmarks of being bat-shit crazy. So, two years from now, he'll slip a little further and some event will occur. Then, he'll get a professional opinion and people will say, "Well, we knew..." When people tell me that they talk to invisible people, I try not to be too concerned about it, but I know that's just crazy.
