Some are comfortable having their life be at the mercy of 150 or so sq. ft of nylon fabric, or a single engine while flying in the clouds at night, or the competence of the engineer who designed the bridge they drive over every day.

And some of us view parachute manufacturers, aircraft manufacturers, and engineers differently than armed criminals, and plan accordingly.

Surely you can see that making safe parachutes, airplanes, and bridges in the interest of both the builder and the user, while the interest of criminals rarely involves the well-being of their victims, right?

Yep. Mike had nothing to say, so he mocked me - and I mocked him right back. SC is great for that sort of thing.

And yet people get murdered all the time.

.

Right, about 170 by gunfire in the last week alone. The same week you found 2 cases of people defending themselves successfully with guns.

Maybe we should start a new thread for each gun homicide instead of just the massacres.

If he doesn't get mugged at all he'll be happy he didn't waste money on a gun.

And if he does get mugged, he will regret not buying one.

And they are less expensive than a CYPRES.

Nope. How you view them is irrelevant to the risk taken when using them.

Right, about 170 by gunfire in the last week alone.

You are in favor of the right of citizens to own guns, correct?

he claims to be...his posting history belies it, though.

Correct, in the way that the right has been defined by the Supreme Court..

I guess you also approved of the way the SC ruled in Dred Scott?

Then lets see if you still think that way when Chicago's handgun ban is overturned.

Which is what, in your opinion?

Not my opinion, the opinion of the majority, clearly articulated by Scalia.

Isn't it ironic, that kallend, who teaches for a living, has so much trouble here explaining things in his own words?

Instead of just doing that, he goes through this long series of avoiding explaining himself. And this is illustrative of why so many people here have disdain for his debating style.

It was nice of you to step in and try and help the poor man out.

All he had to do was use the search function. It's been discussed on here ad nauseam already.

My words don't count, neither do yours. The SC's words are definitive.

So you did agree with the Dred Scott ruling?

Then there is no need for you to say anything here about guns ever again!

Very poor logic. Your question very specifically concerned the 2nd Amendment and its meaning, not guns in general. Although I'm sure you 'd like me to cease debunking your bogus claims.
