The Firearms Industry Wins Again

News:
Supreme Court Refuses to Hear Case Against Gun Maker

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday handed Beretta U.S.A. and the firearms industry another victory by rejecting the Brady Center’s appeal of Adames v. Beretta U.S.A. Corporation challenging the constitutionality of the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA).

The PLCAA is the 2005 federal law passed by Congress in response to the flood of reckless lawsuits brought by the Brady Center on behalf of anti-gun mayors seeking to hold members of the firearms industry liable for the criminal or unlawful misuse of their products.

How much is it costing everyone to keep going through these motions? The legal attacks were never about winning, but merely about draining the small gun industry dry with litigation costs. Dismissals are certainly cheaper than having yet another trial, but by the time the SC declines to hear, there have already been a few rounds.

Somewhere I read that the lawyers in the "Heller vs. D.C." case are requesting $3.5 million in payment from the losers. And of course, that's just taxpayer money being spent for that losing case. Chicago is spending a pile of it too, on theirs, which they'll also lose. It's always nice when politicians spend money from our pockets defending an unconstitutional law.

JohnRich if you dont stop this nonsense i shall print out all your threads/posts and hand them into someone in authority to give you a psychological review. Obsessions are nothing to be scoffed at.

As a concerned member of dropzone.com (holler!) i think it would be best for everyone.

Hi, did he mention anything about GB or Europe? No. So, just let him rant as long as he likes. If he needs to, it's OK.

Too bad you can't say the same, seeing as how you had to comment in the other thread.
