jclalor 12 #26 December 9, 2009 Was it not the right that said during the Bush years that you can not govern according to polls?
Andy9o8 2 #27 December 9, 2009 QuoteQuote Except, of course, when the poll is bad news for conservatives. It's relevant as hell then, isn't it? year 7 and 8 are always more telling than year 1. Of course, if you screw the pooch in year 4, you probably won't get to year 7.
FallingOsh 0 #28 December 9, 2009 QuoteYet you devalue all that for the fact that he's black. QuoteWay to basically dismiss a person's credentials just because he's... you know, a darkie. QuoteWhen I said "Way to basically dismiss a person's credentials just because he's... you know, a darkie, " I was referring to skyrider's post #5, which raised the matter of Obama's race - not to yours, or to you. AND THEN... Quote Well, there's nothing unusual about people voting for candidates of their own ethnic group 'Stop talking about race, stop talking about race, stop talking about race.... people voted for him because he's black? ... Oh, well voting based on race is common...' -------------------------------------------------- Stay positive and love your life.
Andy9o8 2 #29 December 9, 2009 Nice spin of what I said, albeit simplistic. OK, I'll parse it out for you. I was acknowledging the general tendency of people to be swayed by their own ethnic group at the ballot box, while rebutting the general proposition, to which I responded, that most of the people who voted for Obama did so because of his race(s). But hey - thanks for paying such close attention to me; for at the end of the day, that's what it's all about.
