quade 4 #3 November 24, 2009 How the fuck does a person in the graphics department even make that? It would make perfect sense as a bar graph, but as a pie chart it's beyond moronic.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

kelpdiver 2 #5 November 24, 2009 My company has had a few all hands meetings where they stressed the importance of doing it right the first time, and not making expensive mistakes. But coupled with that was a rather substantial reduction in staff, two separate merger actions (first one cancelled 80% in for #2). You don't get to have it both ways. It wouldn't surprise me if this is a factor with the Fox problem. Doesn't make it any less embarrassing (esp the Going Rouge). The pledge to simplify what's being done is the interesting part. Our company did something similar, but actually doing what you claim to do is the real question. While our scope of work was reduced, we then had the 11% firing day which removed most of that gain. riddler 0 #6 November 24, 2009 QuoteTo share a key quote from today's meeting: "It is more important to get it right, than it is to get it on." Maybe that's the problem with the uptight right-wingers at Fox News. Maybe if they spent a little more time getting it on, they could chill out a bit, instead of spewing the hate.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. riddler 0 #9 November 25, 2009 And for more entertaining sound-bites from the "fair and balanced" news network, please read up on the daily "Internal Memos" distributed by Fox News vice-president John Moody, directing reporters on how to report the news in a rather unfair and unbalanced way. A few excerpts: QuoteFOX news exec John Moody on 9-11 Commission: "Do not turn this into Watergate" Moody on George W. Bush: "His political courage and tactical cunning ar[e] [wo]rth noting in our reporting through the day" Moody on Sen. John Kerry: "starting to feel the heat for his flip-flop voting record"Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD
